In week two the top three Power 25 teams remain unchanged. All three (No.1 Arrowhead, No. 2 Janesville Craig and No. 3 Sun Prairie) remain unbeaten while Arrowhead (5-0) stays on top picking up a quality win over No. 8 Kimberly and Sun Prairie (7-0) picked up a close win against a surging Middleton team.

The top three will likely see some movement next week as Janesville Craig and Sun Prairie square off on Tuesday. Arrowhead’s toughest contest of the week will come on Saturday when they have a much anticipated match-up with No. 24 Verona, a game likely to be swarming with pro scouts.

Kenosha Indian Trail (3-0) and Oconomowoc stay undefeated as well, Indian Trail topped a then No. 23 Bradford twice last week.

Oconomowoc jumped three spots with a 5-0 record, but yet to pick up a quality win, they should have a tough week ahead of them with Watertown twice and Beaver Dam, both of which are bubble teams playing good baseball early.

Among the top one loss teams, Kenosha Tremper (4-1), Milwaukee Lutheran (4-1), Kimberly (3-1) and Green Bay Preble (5-1) all held their ground. Kimberly’s one loss came to the top seeded Warhawks and Preble lost to a rising Stevens Point who came in at No. 14 this week.

Bay Port (4-0), Eau Claire Memorial (4-0) and Eau Claire North (5-0) all stayed undefeated. Memorial and North will face off in Big Rivers play this Friday, the winner of that should separate themselves from the pack and jump into the top 10.

Some newcomers to the rankings this week include:

No. 13 Middleton (4-1)
No. 14 Stevens Point (4-1)
No. 18 Kaukauna (5-1)
No. 20 Beloit Turner (5-0)
No. 23 Jefferson (6-2)

Middleton jumps in with a 4-1 record, their only loss came in a nail biter to No. 3 Sun Prairie. Stevens Point has notched two quality wins under their belt with wins over then No. 11’s Aquinas and Green Bay Preble who they split with.

Kaukauna is undefeated in the state of Wisconsin and topped No. 19 Hortonville earlier last week. Beloit Turner is also off to an undefeated start with a win over Jefferson who got in at No. 23 at (6-2). Beloit Turner is off to a torrid start outscoring their opponents 50-1.

Verona and Appleton North round out the Power 25 by the skin of their teeth. Both at .500 records have some tough losses but have the talent on the field to turn things around. With a lot of teams on the bubble this week look for some more newcomers to break into the Power 25 next week.
