For the first time this year the Power 25 sees a new No. 1 as Arrowhead (13-1) fell last week to No. 10 Tremper. Indian Trail (13-1) went undefeated on the week edging out a win over No. 22 Burlington in the process and moved into the No. 1 spot. Kenosha Tremper (12-3) looks to be the barometer on the top two teams as Indian Trail has two wins over the Trojans prior to Tremper’s win over Arrowhead. Tremper is easily the best three-loss team in the state. Their early loss to Hartford was a tough black eye on their resume, otherwise the No. 10 Trojans may be the No. 3team in the state.

This week’s No. 3 – No. 5 gets shaken up again as the group of Middleton (12-2), Milwaukee Lutheran (12-2), Eau Claire Memorial (12-2) and Eau Claire North (12-2) all suffered losses last week, while Janesville Craig (13-2), Sun Prairie (14-2) and Oconomowoc (14-1) all had undefeated weeks.

Eau Claire Memorial and Eau Claire North will face off again this Friday, giving the Old Abes a chance for the season sweep of North.

No. 11 Green Bay Preble (14-3) took the hardest fall of last week’s top group as the Hornets wound up losing a pair of games last week to sub .500 teams (Ashwaubenon and Notre Dame)

Waterford continues to climb the ranks and made their biggest jump this week with a 5-0 week improving to 17-2. We’re still looking for Waterford to add a signature win to their resume and if they continue to play good baseball it could come the week of May 17 when they play a trio of games against No. 22 Burlington (2) and No. 1 Indian Trail.
