Preseason Identification Showcase 3.3.13: Pitching Analysis

As we wrap up our coverage of the Preseason Identification we conclude with the pitchers. By far the deepest group of the day, we saw plenty of projectable talent up and down the board. With three freshman and six sophomores making the cut, there is plenty of upside in this group, especially from the left side.
The top pitchers were led by Zack Henderson, who sat at a consistent 88 mph with an excellent changeup, and Jack Eagan who might be the top prospect in the 2016 class, already sitting at 82-84 mph from the left side with a highly advanced curveball.
Here’s a look at the top pitchers from the Preseason Identification Showcase.
Top Pitchers
1. Zack Henderson, Greendale HS, RHP/OF, Class of 2014
Athletic build, 6-foot-3, 210-pound two way player. Shows arm strength all over the field, shows well both on the mound and in the field. Tall and fall delivery, some effort, up tempo delivery. Arm works from a high ¾ arm slot, quick arm action. Fastball is mostly straight, occasional run, sat consistently at 88 mph. Changeup has near fastball arm action, heavy sink, good depth, has feel, 74-76 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, 72-73 mph, early break. Offensively, hits from a balance setup, wider stance. Makes hard contact, aggressive swinger, barrel awareness, excellent whip through the zone. Advanced bat speed, 93 mph exit velocity from the tee. Aggressive hitter with power potential. Strong arm from the outfield, 88 mph exit velocity, showed accuracy, lacked outfield actions.
2. Jack Eagan, Wautoma HS, LHP/1B, Class of 2016
Highly advanced build, strong lower half, wide shoulders, overall strong build, 6-foot-2, 200-pound left handed two way player. High prospect on the mound, highly rated left handed pitcher, a top prospect in his class. Tall and fall delivery, smooth rhythm, stays on line, directional, easy effort. Arm action is long, sits between high ¾ and ¾ arm slot. Fastball has occasional run and sink, some late life, showed the ability for command, 82-84 mph. Curveball has plus potential, highly advanced for age. Curve works on 11/5 plane, shows sharp bite, excellent feel, commanded it well, 65-66 mph. Changeup is thrown with near fastball arm speed, sinking action, well above average feel, thrown for strikes, 68-70 mph. Offensively showed power potential. Hits from open stance, short stride. Lacks lower half, long path, lift in swing, hard contact, excellent bat speed for age, 86 mph exit velocity from the tee.
3. Damian Guenther, Oshkosh West HS, RHP, Class of 2013
Athletic build, 6-foot-4, 195-pound right handed pitcher. Delivery shows regular effort, some rhythm, landing is slightly open, collapses back leg, drop and drive style. Arm works long with loose actions, quick arm speed, high ¾ arm slot. Fastball has slight sink, showed the ability to control the baseball, consistently worked down, 86-88 mph, touched 89 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, flashes sharp bite, some depth, 69-73 mph, showed better action when thrown at 73 mph. Projectable, lively arm, prototypical pitchers frame.
4. Bryant Jordan, Home School, RHP/OF, Class of 2015
Athletic body, 6-foot-1, 170-pound two way player. Projects more on the mound, live young arm, one of the top arms in the Class of 2015. On the mound delivery shows some effort, dynamic delivery, shows acceleration with rhythm and balance. Arm action is quick, loose and free arm action, over the top arm slot. Fastball is mostly straight, occasional sink, late darting action through the zone, showed the ability to command the baseball, 84-85 mph, touched 86 mph. Changeup has plus potential, thrown with aggressive fastball arm speed, fading action, showed command (76-77 mph). Slider has downward action 70-74 mph, thrown aggressively, needs to stay behind it longer. Offensively hits from an open stance, longer leg lift stride. Works the middle of the field, consistent contact, finds the barrel. 86 mph exit velocity. Arm works well from the outfield, 87 mph, shows carry, uses crow hop.
5. Ryan Wesely, DeForest Area HS, RHP, Class of 2014
Athletic build, 6-foot-2, 185-pound right handed pitcher. High level 2014 in state prospect. Athletic delivery, tall and fall approach, some rhythm, delivery shows direction, athletic finish. Quick arm action, high ¾ arm slot, athletic arm. Fastball has slight sink, thrown for strikes, showed the ability to command it, 83-84 mph, touched 85 mph. Curveball had slurve feel, 11/5 shape, sharp action, thrown aggressively with fastball arm speed, thrown for strikes, 67-70 mph. Changeup has excellent action, well above average feel, sinking action, thrown for strikes, 76-78 mph.
6. Dalton Roach, Memorial HS, RHP, Class of 2014
Athletic build with length, 6-foot-1, 175-pound right handed pitcher. Shows good projection, quick arm with lean build, shows upside. Delivery has rhythm, regular effort, stays online, athletic finish. Arm action is loose and quick, high ¾ arm slot, whippy arm action. Fastball is mostly straight, shows late jump through the zone, showed control, 83-84 mph, touched 85 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, thrown with near fastball arm speed, showed control, 68-69 mph. Changeup is mostly straight, 74-76 mph, flashed excellent deception and sink once, showed overall control. High level right handed pitcher in Wisconsin’s Class of 2014.
7. Heath Renz, Jefferson HS, RHP/MIF, Class of 2014
Strong build, wide shoulders, 6-foot, 195-pound two way player. Shows higher projection on the mound. Delivery shows rhythm, stays online, athletic finish. Arm works loosely, high ¾ arm slot. Fastball is straight, thrown for strikes, 84-86 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, gradual action, thrown for strikes, 66-68 mph. Changeup has feel and action, excellent arm speed shows deception, above average sink, thrown with feel, 68-69 mph, showed repeatable location. Defensively showed solid hands, some body control. 4.33 runner down the line. Hits from a slightly closed stance, short toe tap stride. Makes hard contact, line drive hitter, pull tendencies, occasionally rolls over.
8. Cal Giese, Stevens Point HS, LHP/OF/1B, Class of 2014
Athletic frame, 5-foot-11, 190-pound two way player. Projects as a left handed pitcher, arm is clean and easy. Tall and fall delivery, smooth rhythm, repeats delivery well, excellent balance throughout. Arm works cleanly, easy arm action, loose arm, high ¾ arm slot. Fastball has slight run, showed the ability to command the fastball, sat 81-82 mph, touched 84 mph. Curveball has 12/6 action, showed control, 68-70 mph. Changeup is thrown with near fastball arm speed, showed command, 73-75 mph. Defensively showed a playable arm, 83 mph from the outfield with carry. Offensively hits from a wider stance, slight lunge, 80 mph exit velocity from the tee.
9. Branden Frank, Arrowhead HS, RHP, Class of 2014
Athletic frame, some strength, 6-foot-4, 210-pound right handed pitcher. Delivery has rhythm, level shoulders, stays on line, slightly open landing, athletic finish. Long arm action, ¾ arm slot. Fastball has run 82-84, thrown for strikes. Slider has potential, sweeping action, true slider, potential for big wipe out slider, thrown with fastball arm speed, above average when thrown at 73-75 mph, at 70-71 mph lacked bite. Changeup has feel, occasional sink, fastball arm speed, consistent command, repeatable, 77-79 mph.
10. Jacob Perez, West Bend East HS, OF/RHP, Class of 2013
Advanced frame, athletic build, above average body, 6-foot-4, 205-pound two way player. Perez showed excellent defensive action coupled with a strong arm. He plays through the baseball athletically, fluid footwork, 4.28 runner home to first. Traditional outfield arm action, loose arm, long over the top slot, shows accuracy and carry, 88 mph. Offensively hits from an open stance, smooth load, short stride, solid balance throughout. Gap to gap hitter with pop, well above average bat speed, 95 mph exit velocity from the tee. Aggressive approach, hits with rhythm, athletic hitter. Fastball shows run and sink, 82-83 mph, touching 84 mph, thrown for strikes. Curveball has 11/5 tilt, 71-72 mph. Changeup has sink, excellent arm action, thrown with fastball arm speed, stayed down in the zone, 76-78 mph.
11. Jakob Guenther, Oshkosh West HS, LHP/1B, Class of 2015
Long lean frame, highly projectable body, long levers, 6-foot-5, 190-pound left handed two way player. High ceiling on the mound, high level state prospect in 2015 class. Delivery shows some rhythm, stays on line and directional. Long arm action, arm works well, high ¾ arm slot. Fastball has slight run, showed control, 77-79 mph, should see increase in velocity with added strength. Curveball has 11/5 shape, opens early and leaves arm side, has potential, will be a high level pitch if he can stay closed longer and get it out in front. Changeup is thrown with near fastball arm speed, occasional sink and run to arm side, 72-74 mph. Defensively shows a soft glove around the bag, clean exchange. Hits from a balanced setup, drops hands at load, slight leg lift trigger. Average bat speed, 73 mph exit velocity, swing flattens out early, lacks overall strength.
12. Shane Coker, Athens HS, LHP/1B, Class of 2015
Athletic build, strong lower half, wide shoulders, 6-foot-3, 200-pound left handed two way player. Has a high ceiling on both sides of the ball, might project higher on the mound right now. On the mound delivery is smooth, effortless actions, athletic finish. Arm action is clean, free and easy, high ¾ arm slot. Fastball has slight sink, showed command, 76-78 mph, arm action dictates room for more velocity. Curveball has 11/5 shape, sharp action, 61-64 mph, showed good feel. Showed a cutter, 65-68 mph, had more of a slider rotation and action, short quick action, little depth, needs to be thrown harder, lacks identity.
13. JJ Johnson, Edgewood HS, OF/RHP, Class of 2015
Athletic make up, above average build, 6-foot, 180-pound outfielder. Defensively shows a plus potential arm from the outfield, 89 mph as a sophomore. Arm works from an over the top slot, shows accuracy, ball stays on line with carry. Plays through the baseball well, hands work, footwork is fluid. Offensively hits from an open stance, smooth load, short stride, good balance throughout. Shows bat speed, path shows uphill tendencies, drops back elbow, 83 mph exit velocity from the tee. On the mound delivery shows effort, loose arm action, quick arm, high ¾ arm slot. Lively fastball, has arm side run, occasional late hard action, 80-83 mph. Slider has some bite, sweeping action, thrown aggressively with fastball arm speed, 73-74 mph. Changeup has sink, showed control, thrown with deceptive arm action, 79-81 mph, lacks separation from fastball.
14. Mitchell Weber, Oregon HS, LHP, Class of 2015
Athletic build with some length, 6-foot-2, 170-pound right handed pitcher. Delivery is balanced and repeatable, smooth rhythm, directional delivery, athletic finish. Arm action is clean, free and easy, high ¾ arm slot. Fastball has run, occasional sink, showed command, 77-79 mph. Curveball is loopy, 56-60 mph. Slider shows promise, 63 mph, similar action to curveball but thrown with more aggression. Changeup has feel, 67-68 mph.
15. Travis Berg, Eau Claire Memorial HS, RHP/3B, Class of 2016
Advanced body for age, 6-foot-1, 190-pound two way player. Has a higher projection on the mound. Delivery is smooth, shows regular effort. Arm action is loose, high ¾ arm slot, quick arm action. Fastball showed run and sink to his arm side, flashed hard action, 77-79 mph, showed feel. Curveball has 12/6 shape, lacks finish, leaves arm side, decelerated hand speed, 61-63 mph. Changeup is thrown with near fastball arm action, 71-74 mph. Defensively uses long arm action, high ¾ arm slot, with accuracy (72 mph), lacks foot quickness. At the plate hits from an open stance, minimal stride. Shows bat speed for age, 79 mph exit velocity. Hits off backside, pull side approach. High follow on the mound.
16. Jesse Turner, Lake County Lutheran HS, RHP/OF/INF, Class of 2014
6-foot-3, 180-pound two way player, lanky frame, some projectability. Projects more on the mound, tall and fall style delivery, regular effort with some rhythm. Arm works from a high ¾ arm slot, quick arm action, loose arm. Fastball is mostly straight, 81-83 mph, touching 84 mph. Breaking ball lacked feel, 68-71 mph, needs true action. Changeup showed occasional sink, 72-73 mph. Offensively this from a wide stance, smooth load, drops hands, no stride. Lower half lacks involvement, rotational hitter, pull side approach, 84 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively showed solid arm strength from the outfield (84 mph) and infield (81 mph).
17. Alex Slowey, Monroe HS, SS/RHP, Class of 2014
Athletic frame, shows strength, 6-foot, 180-pound two way player. On the mound, delivery lacks balance, on heels, choppy delivery. Arm action is short and over the top, arm shows regular effort. Fastball is straight, showed occasional control, up in the zone, 81-83 mph. Curveball flashes 12/6 action, occasional biting action, lacked overall control, 64-67 mph. Changeup is mostly straight, 72-76 mph. Defensively shows average infield actions, some body control. Arm action is short and over the top, 77 mph across the diamond. At the plate hits from a tall, slightly open stance, short stride. Bat path is occasionally short, rotational. Shows solid tools, athletic, with strength, lacks polish.
18. Logan Wonn, Oconomowoc HS, RHP/1B, Class of 2015
6-foot-2, 210 pound two way player. Shows higher projection on the mound. Tall and fall delivery with regular effort, stays tall at balance point, closed landing. High ¾ arm slot. Fastball ranges from 79-80 mph, topped out at 81 mph, straight, thrown for strikes. Curveball has slurve action, flashing occasional sweep, showed the ability to throw for strikes, 68-70 mph. Changeup has near fastball arm action, occasional sink, 70-73 mph. Offensively hits from a balance stance, leg kick trigger. Makes hard contact, pull side approach, 78 mph exit velocity from the tee.
19. Keaton Knueppel, Verona Area HS, LHP/OF, Class of 2016
Athletic frame, has some length, 5-foot-10, 144-pound left handed two way player. On the mound young left hander shows a high projection. Delivery is repeatable, solid balance throughout, effortless delivery, throws slightly across body, hides the ball well. Arm action is easy, high ¾ arm slot, clean arm action, works well. Fastball has cut action, showed control, 75-77 mph. Curveball had occasional 11/5 action, still needs refinement, left up in the zone. Changeup flashed fading action 63-66 mph. High follow on the mound, arm action is clean and shows the ability to gain velocity. Offensively hits from an open stance, slightly dives to the plate. Uphill tendencies in bat path, some extension, slight stiffness in hands. Defensively arm worked at 79 mph from the outfield, loose arm action. Plays through the baseball well, feet work athletically.
20. Thomas Sanchez, Holmen HS, LHP, Class of 2014
6-foot-3, 210-pound left handed pitcher. Long arm action, moderate arm speed, arm slot sits between ¾ and high ¾. Fastball has consistent slight run, threw strikes at the top of the zone, 76-79 mph. Curveball has slurve feel, lacks true spin, lacks depth, 67-68 mph. Changeup has feel, decelerated arm action, sinking action, consistent strikes, 69-71 mph.

Adam Bihun, Memorial HS, RHP/3B, Class of 2014
Lanky frame, long limbs, 6-foot-3, 170-pound two way player. Tall and fall style delivery, closed landing, works slightly across his body. Arm action is stiff, low elbows, high ¾ arm slot. Fastball is mostly straight, 77-78 mph, touched 79 mph. Curveball has gradual bend, occasional 12/6 tilt, 61-63 mph. Changeup has fading action, 66-70 mph. Defensively arm played at 75 mph across the diamond, lacked accuracy. Hits from a slightly open stance, smooth load back, short stride, slightly dives. Some hard contact, long path, 79 mph exit velocity.
Andy Brahier, Jefferson HS, RHP/INF, Class of 2014
Athletic build, 6-foot-1, 190-pound two way player. Defensively showed some body control, fields with some athleticism, solid hands. Arm works long, shows accuracy, 75 mph across diamond. Hits from a balanced setup, smooth load, short stride, excellent setup. Makes consistent contact, hard contact, athletic swing, short path, fluid rhythm. 85 mph exit velocity from the tee. Fastball has occasional run, thrown for strikes, 76-77 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, 58-62 mph. Changeup has near fastball arm speed, 57-60 mph.
Payton Bryden, Ripon HS, RHP, Class of 2014
6-foot-2, 210-pound right handed pitcher. Tall and fall delivery, shows some rhythm. High ¾ arm slot. Fastball has sink, occasional heavy feel, showed some command, 78-81 mph. Threw two breaking balls, curveball and slider lacked identity, curveball sat 64-65 mph, slider was 67-70 mph. Changeup has sink, shows feel, thrown for strikes, near fastball arm speed.
Cade Bunnell, Stout HS, MIF/RHP, Class of 2015
5-foot-9, 150-pound left handed hitting middle infielder. Defensively, showed athleticism, excellent body control, fields baseball athletically, left of center, soft on backhand. Exchange is quick and clean, shows fluid footwork that works well through the baseball. Arm plays, 77 mph across the diamond, athletic release. Offensively, hits from an open stance, smooth load, short stride. Quiet approach, athletic setup and swing, line drive approach, fluid rhythm. Swing shows some lift, whip through the zone, 78 mph exit velocity from the tee. Fastball shows occasional run, 78-79 mph, touching 80 mph. Curveball works on 11/5 plane, occasional bite, thrown for strikes at 64-67 mph. Changeup has sink at 64-67 mph.
Colton Burt, Wautoma HS, OF/RHP, Class of 2016
Smaller build, 5-foot-8, 145-pound two way player. Defensively shows the ability to play through the baseball, uses crow hop. Arm action is long, 74 mph from the outfield. Offensively hits from a balanced setup, short stride, toe tap trigger. 77 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Cole Erickson, Deerfield HS, RHP, Class of 2014
Lanky frame, slender build, 6-foot-1, 160-pound right handed pitcher. Easy arm action, shows some projection, short stride, gets on top of the baseball, over the top arm slot. Fastball shows occasional sink, 79-80 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, 67-68 mph, occasional sharp action, thrown for strikes. Slider at 73-75 mph, minimal action. Changeup flashed sink, 73-75 mph, thrown for strikes at the bottom of the zone, above average pitch.
Josh Good, Wautoma HS, RHP, Class of 2014
Big frame, 6-foot-3, 202-pound right handed pitcher. Mechanically sound, slow tempo delivery, slide step from the stretch. Lacks dynamic arm action, high ¾ arm slot. Fastball has run and sink, showed some command, 73-75 mph. Curveball has gradual bend on 11/5 plane, rolling action, 61-64 mph. Changeup has occasional sink, stiff wrist release, 65-67 mph.
Tristan Herber, Menona Grove HS, SS/RHP, Class of 2016
5-foot-9, 155-pound two way player. Young two way player with some upside. Defensively uses a long arm action, over the top slot, shows accuracy. Lacks footwork, 4.69 runner home to first. Offensively hits from an open stance, short stride, quiet smooth approach. 70 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Benjamin Herman, Moline HS, RHP, Class of 2014
Strong lower half, 5-foot-8, 158-pounds. Over the top arm slot, regular effort, works uphill. Fastball is flat, 80-81 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, early break, 64-69 mph, needs to get down in the zone. Changeup has sink, kept down, 74-75 mph.
Jensen Hinton, La Crosse Logan HS, C/RHP, Class of 2015
Lean build, 6-foot, 170-pound left handed hitting catcher. Defensively uses a short arm action, 73 mph from the crouch, 2.15-2.33 pop times. Shows above average footwork behind the plate, 4.22 runner home to first. Offensively hits from an open stance, uses short stride, bat wrap load. Lower half has some involvement, good balance. 73 mph exit velocity from the tee, lacks extension.
Brennan Kearney, Rio HS, RHP, Class of 2013
Strong lower half, 5-foot-11, 195-pound right handed pitcher. Delivery shows some rhythm with effort. Arm works from a high ¾ arm slot. Fastball has slight run, 77-78 mph, showed some control. Curveball has 11/5 shape, thrown for strikes, 66-68 mph. Changeup has sink, thrown with near fastball arm speed, showed control, 71-73 mph.
Ben Marhworth, Onalaska HS, OF/RHP, Class of 2014
5-foot-9, 160-pound two way player. Defensively showed athletic feet, 4.02 runner home to first, showed quicker footwork defensively, natural outfield actions. Arm player at 78 mph from the outfield, short loose arm action, over the top slot, occasional carry. Offensively hit from a balanced setup, short stride. Line drive approach, occasional rhythm, 80 mph exit velocity from the tee. On the mound fastball was mostly straight, 74-76 mph. Curveball has 12/6 tendencies, rolling action, thrown for strikes (66-67 mph). Changeup sits at 68-69 mph.
Alex Meister, Riverdale HS, RHP, Class of 2014
5-foot-11, 170-pound right handed pitcher. High ¾ arm slot, works with some effort. Fastball is straight, 73-74 mph. Curveball is 62-64 mph, decelerated arm action. Changeup is 68-69 mph, consistently down.
Alex Morland, Badger HS, RHP, Class of 2015
Average frame, 5-foot-11, 160-pound right handed pitcher. Operates from a high ¾ arm slot. Fastball is mostly straight, 72-74 mph. Curveball has 11/5 action, gradual bend, 63-64 mph. Changeup is 68-70 mph, mostly down.
Aaron Mutter, Burlington HS, RHP/OF/INF, Class of 2016
Advanced frame, 6-foot-3, 195-pound two way player, projectable frame, young prospect to follow. Projects more on the mound. Delivery shows rhythm and balance, regular effort. Arm action is short, over the top slot. Fastball is straight, lacked action, 75-77 mph, touched 78 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, found the strike zone, 68-70 mph. Changeup has occasional fading action, near fastball arm action, 68-70 mph.
Nick Newberg, Madison Memorial HS, RHP/1B, Class of 2014
Lanky build, long limbed, 6-foot-2, 185-pound two way player. Tall and fall delivery, works downhill. Over the top arm slot. Fastball is straight, 79-80 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, slows arm action, 67-68 mph, could be better with a more aggressive approach. Changeup has occasional sink, 72 mph, decelerated arm action. Also showed a knuckleball, flashed above average action once, showed control. Offensively hits from a balanced stance, short stride, minimal load. Barrel head creates whip, some pop potential with added strength, gets extension.

Strong build, 5-foot-10, 180-pound two way player. Offensively hits from a closed stance, short stride, good balance throughout. Bat speed present, 86 mph exit velocity from the tee. Bat path is level shows some extension, gap to gap hitter with some pop, aggressive swinger. Defensively shows arm strength across the diamond (82 mph), shows carry. Choppy actions, hands lack a soft feel. Fastball showed occasional sink, 74-77 mph, touched 80 mph. Curveball worked on 11/5 plane, 56-61 mph. Changeup at 64-67 mph, also showed sinker at 76-77 mph.
Justin Scoville, Freedom HS, RHP/OF, Class of 2015
Stocky build, 5-foot-9, 185-pound two way player. Hits from a balanced setup, short stride. Bat path is level, occasional extension, moderate bat speed, 76 mph exit velocity. On the mound, has a tall and fall approach, slow tempo, stays on line and directional. Arm works over the top. Fastball is straight, thrown for strikes, 71-72 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, gradual action, near fastball arm speed, 56-60 mph. Changeup has sink, thrown with command, 65 mph.
Isaac Sexe, St. Joseph Catholic HS, RHP/SS, Class of 2016
Slender build, 6-foot, 150-pound two way player. Defensively uses a long arm action, high ¾ arm slot, 72 mph across the diamond. Offensively hits from a balanced stance, toe tap stride, good balance throughout. 71 mph exit velocity from the tee, some stiffness. Drop and drive delivery form the mound, opens front side early. Arm works from a high ¾ arm slot. Fastball has slight sink, 71-73 mph, touched 74 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, rolling action, 66-68 mph. Changeup has sink, 61-65 mph.
Drew Spaeth, Westfield Area HS, RHP, Class of 2014
Strong lower half, 6-foot-1, 190-pound right handed pitcher. Max effort delivery, over the top arm slot. Fastball is mostly straight, occasional sink, 75-79 mph, touches 80 mph. Curveball has gradual action, left up in the zone, 62-65 mph. Changeup has occasional sink, 69-70 mph.
Darren Strasburg, Xavier HS, RHP, Class of 2014

Defensively arm plays at 71 mph across the diamond, stands up at release. Offensively hits from an open stance, drops hands at load. 77 mph exit velocity from the tee, some extension.

Lanky frame, slender build, 6-foot-2, 165-pound two way player. On the mound arm action is long and from a ¾ slot. Fastball has gradual sink, 69-71 mph. Curveball has 12/6 tendencies, gradual break, loose rotation, 63-64 mph. Changeup has sinking action, 67 mph, lacks separation from fastball. Defensively uses long arm action across the diamond (69 mph). Hits from a slightly closed stance, slight front foot lift trigger. Some uphill path, lift, 73 mph exit velocity from the tee.
