Preseason Power 25 Countdown: No. 21 Bradford

The Wisconsin high school season kicks off on March 29, the first day for regular season games. Most teams will begin practicing on March 21, getting their rosters set and finalizing their lineups.

Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we will be rolling out team previews of high school teams all across the state and across all classifications, eventually launching our Preseason Power 25.

We have been sending out our annual Preseason Questionnaire to coaches all across the state and as the responses flood in we will bring you a snapshot of what to expect along with top players and keys to success for that particular team. If you don’t see your team’s season preview make sure your head coach fills out his Preseason Questionnaire.

STAT RAT
.684: Winning percentage head coach Matt LaBuda has amassed in 11 years leading the Red Devils. Last season Bradford ran away with the competitive Southeast conference going 14-1 in conference play, and beating out Tremper and Indian Trail by four games.

OUTLOOK
The Red Devils bring back a solid infield anchored by all-conference selections Kyle Schoville and Kyle Sinclair who hit .409 and .361 respectively. Junior second baseman Michael Pillizzi hit .307 as an underclassman last year and is poised to improve this season. Pitching will be a weak spot for the Red Devils as they will look for younger players to step up on the mound. Bradford has won five of the last six Southeast titles and it will be another three team race with Tremper and Indian Trail this season. The Red Devils will match up with Indian Trail and Tremper three times each this season as they compete for the Southeast conference title.
