University of Minnesota

A second team all-conference selection in the Big Rivers conference last year and three-time selection, Vavra has hit nearly .400 every season since starting on varsity as a freshman. (.414, .397 and .405). The left-handed hitting middle infielder has the game in his blood, his dad is the a bench coach of the Minnesota Twins and has two older brothers – Tanner who is in the Twins minor league system and Treysen who was drafted by the Twin in the 33rd round this past June out of Florida Southern.

Edgewood

Dane Lamont10/11/14 - 6-foot, 185-pound infielder, carries some strength, athletic build. Offensively hits from the right side, balanced stance, arm bar load, short stride, good balance throughout. Showed some ability to impact the baseball, occasionally lifts the baseball, gap to gap approach. 84 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively feet played mechanically sound, clean exchange, plays through the baseball. High ¾ slot, above average arm strength for his age, 81 mph across the diamond.
