By Josh Fields & Will Sommers
PBR JUCO Staff

On Sept. 21, the PBR JUCO staff traveled to The Rock Sports Complex in Franklin, Wis., to scout the inaugural NJCAA Region IV showcase.

Quite a few of these players stood out the weekend prior at the 2023 Puma Classic at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind., on Sept. 15-16. You can read reports and watch video from that event inside the following articles:

The Region IV showcase was a one-day event that featured 19 teams from the area that each competed in two seven-inning games. Below, our staff has compiled a list of players to watch going into the spring season. The list features over 20 impact players who project to perform next season, warranting attention from four-year schools – and some even may garner attention from the pro scouting community.

PITCHERS

The following players are listed in alphabetical order:

+ Soph. RHP Alex Breckheimer (Bryant & Stratton) provided one of the more intriguing looks on the day. The right-hander returns after a successful freshman campaign where he recorded a 3.00 ERA and 61 strikeouts in 48 innings. Standing at an imposing 6-foot-4, 210-pounds with the ability to locate his whole arsenal in the zone. His fastball sat at 89-91 T92 mph and was able to locate it to different spots in the zone, he also landed his slider and curveball in the zone for strikes while flashing the ability to land a changeup in the zone.
