Summer Preseason Team Rankings Released

The Summer Preseason Power 10 Team Rankings are always tough to compile as teams can change drastically year to year, based on whether or not players choose to play for their high school or travel team. None the less we have put together our Preseason Power 10 for the summer season.

Oak Creek should clearly have the deepest and most talented team around. The Knights already have two Division 1 commits on their team and a pitching staff with three front line arms in Jesse Sustachek, Mitchel Makarewicz and Matt Hamilton. Doran Turchin should lead the offense and look for DJ Ellifson to be a spark plug in the Knight lineup.

Brookfield Central comes in a close second with two of the top senior arms in the state. RHP Luke Sommerfeld, who is committed to St. Louis has been up to 91 mph this spring and has a big body with a loose arm. RHP Elijah Goodman, who recently opened his recruiting options up, has been touching 89 mph this spring while sitting 86-88 mph. Call either one the team’s “Ace” it clearly will not matter whenever these two take the mound.
