Kelenic has a strong frame at 5-foot-11, 185 pounds and is one of the top 2018s in the country with a blend of speed and power. He runs a 6.6-second 60 and can crush baseballs from the left side of the plate. He takes a pull approach and has power to that side. He made loud contact at Tournament of Stars, going 3-for-9 with a double and home run. He was also one of two players at the Area Code Games—between upperclassmen and underclassmen—to hit a home run to right field, which typically has a strong wind blowing in. Kelenic has at least an average arm from the outfield and gets good carry to his throws. That translates to the mound where he can pitch in the high 80s and touch the low 90s. He made the 18U National Team won a gold medal and was named the tournament MVP of the COPABE Pan American Championships.
