Underclass Games: Statistical Analysis

The Underclass Games took place on Monday, July 24th at University of Illinois-Chicago’s Curtis Granderson Stadium. The event, a premier destination for rising sophomores across Illinois and Wisconsin, had more than 60 players in attendance.
The event was as deep as it has ever been with talent and a number of guys elevated their stock. Many of the players listed below should be high-follows moving forward. Below we breakdown the top statistical performances from the event.

The numbers listed below were taken from the workout portion of the event and also times collected during game play. Michael Seegers ran a 4.25 down-the-line in game play to lead the way.
Tyler Chadwick, Eben Heine and Noah DeLuga all topped out at 86 mph to lead a strong crop of arms.
top exit velocity
Physical left-handed hitter, Vincent Esposito topped out at 94 mph from a tee to headline the top exit velocities from the day. Thomas Otto and Jacob Mote were next in line, topping out at 93 mph.
tOP INFIELD VELOCITY
George Klassen, who found himself on the list for running one of the top home-to-first times of the event, was clocked at 87 mph across the infield which leads a solid core of infielders. Jacob Mote came in close behid Klassen, topping out at 86 mph.
top outfield velocity
Tyler Chadwick and Eben Heine showed off big arms from the outfield, both topping out at 90 plus.
top catcher pop times
Cameron Dupont showed off an easy arm and pop times were the lowest of the event, ranging from 2.04-2.10.

Trevor Davis tied with Cameron Dupont for the top velocity from the crouch, 78 mph.
