Underclass Trials - Wisconsin: Statistical Analysis

The Wisconsin Underclass Trials took place on Wednesday, June 19 at the Hitters Baseball Academy in Caledonia, Wisconsin. There was plenty of talent in the classes of 2021, 2022, and 2023 that was on display at the event -- making it difficult to pinpoint some of the very best performers.
The event Quick Hits have already been released, which cover our initial impressions on some of the top performers. Below, the statistical analysis will break down the top numbers from each statistical category recorded at the event.

Max Fastball
RHP/3B Isaiah Cerfus had the day’s best fastball, sitting 85-86 and topping at 87. RHP/OF Isaac Engelbrecht wasn’t far behind, maxing at 86 MPH.
60-Yard-Dash
OF/C Anthony Gross showed off the best speed at the event but C/SS Levi Kline, OF/2B Boone Mathison, and OF/RHP Peyton Seebacher were all right behind him.
Exit-Velocity
C/OF Noah Berndt, RHP/C Kellan Short, and C/3B Luke Hessenauer all featured the day’s best exit velocity off the tee -- topping out at 91 MPH.
Infield Velocity
3B/RHP Gradin Taschner and 2B/SS Darryl Jackson showcased the best arms from across the diamond -- with both prospects topping out at 84 MPH on throws from shortstop.
Outfield Velocity
OF/C Anthony Gross continued to show off plus-outfield tools; featuring the day’s best outfield arm on top of his event best 60-time.
Catcher Velocity
C/OF Noah Berndt had the best catcher-arm at the event -- topping out at 80 MPH from the crouch.
Pop-Times
C/OF Nolan Rowe and RHP/C Kellan Short both showed off sub-2.1 pop times. Rowe had the best throw of the day, clocking in at 2.01 from the crouch.
