Several right-handed arms made significant velocity jumps from the last time the PBR scouting staff had seen them. Back in June at the Top Prospect showcase Brady Schanuel (Belleville East HS) sat 83-84 mph. On Sunday, Schanuel came out firing sitting in the 87-89 mph range.

West Bend West’s (WI) Jacob Kopp also touched 89 mph, and boasts a burly 6-foot-1, 230-pound frame. Kopp has been a bit under the radar due to playing Wisconsin summer high school baseball, and not participating in any travel baseball.

South Elgin’s Ryan Weiss showed off the best three pitch feel of all the arms, and jumped from 81-84 mph this fall, to 85-87 mph on Sunday. Weiss has reportedly touched 89 mph this winter, and it’s easy to believe as his wiry, 6-foot-4, 185-pound frame produced easy velocity from a clean, high ¾ arm slot.

Edwardsville’s Tynan Zeller boasts an impressive 6-foot-4, 195-pound frame and sat 83-85 mph from the left side. Zeller sat 78-81 mph in August at the Central Illinois Open, and we’ve seen video of him up to 87 mph.

Let’s take a look at the statistical breakdown from this January’s Unsigned Senior Showcase.
