Unsigned Senior Spotlight: LHP/1B Ryan Hubley

On Sept. 23, our staff hosted Senior Games at Kapco Park in Mequon, Wis., an invite-only showcase for the area’s top uncommitted seniors. We’ve already published the event’s Statistical Analysis, and we’ll have position-by-position breakdowns a little further down the road. Until then, check out some of the showcase’s top unsigned prospects who merit mentioning over the next couple of weeks within this spotlight.

Ryan Hubley (Marquette University, 2019) came away from the Mequon event with an authentic chance at becoming a two-way contributor at the next level. A 6-foot-4 left/left prospect who recorded both the second-hardest fastball velo and second-hardest exit velo at Senior Games. On the mound, Hubley was up to 84 mph with a little run on his fastball and paired it with a slider that has the makings of a go-to out-pitch, made even more deceptive coming out of his ¾ slot. In the batter’s box, the wiry lefty employs a loose swing with some bat speed that helped him produce a 94 mph exit velocity off the tee. With an interesting two-way skillset, Hubley is grabbing some attention this fall and winter.
