Unsigned Senior Spotlight: OF Kyle Jones

By Steve Nielsen
Scouting Director - Wisconsin

Today’s unsigned senior spotlight is on Kyle Jones of Kenosha Tremper. Jones is a senior right fielder for the Trojans. Last year he helped carry the Trojans to an 18-9 record and a second place finish in the Southeastern Conference. Jones batted .287 last year with 17 RBI and was rewarded for his contributions with a 1st team All-Conference selection. So far in 2013 Jones is off to a good start, hitting in the three-hole the right handed outfielder is hitting .333 over seven games.

Jones is an athletically built outfielder who shows strength in his build. Defensively he shows arm strength from the outfield with an accurate arm that stays true and shows carry. At the plate he hits out of a closed stance. His swing is athletic and shows barrel awareness, even on tough pitches out of the zone. Jones swings the bat with a purpose and looks to drive the baseball in every at bat.

This year Jones will look to repeat his 1st team All-Conference selection and hope to take Tremper to the top of the Southeastern Conference.
