Updated Class of 2015 Rankings

With the summer in full swing we have seen a lot of the Class of 2015 in Wisconsin and it looks to be shaping up into one of the better classes the state has seen in a while. With almost 20 Division 1 recruits in the Class of 2013 and one draft pick, and what is looking to be even less in the Class of 2014, the Class of 2015 has the potential to produce more Division 1 prospects than both of those classes.

The latest update in the Class of 2015 brought a shake-up at the top of the class with a new No. 1. Pete Schuler has moved into the top spot as the 6-foot-3 left handed hitting catcher has been showing improved offensive abilities at the plate along with a strong arm and the size and strength to play the position.

Bryant Jordan jumped up to the No. 2 spot after repeatedly touching 88 mph in multiple outings. Doran Turchin has also been improving as of late, his offensive prowess and dynamic athletic abilities moved him into the top five.

With the rankings now expanded to 50 we have seen a lot of new talent around the state of Wisconsin. 21 new prospects filled the list including LHP Alex Hintze (Oshkosh North) at No. 14, Bay Port’s outfielder Joey Baier and 6-foot-3, 175-pound right handed pitcher Simon Rosenblum-Larson (Madison West).

Baier was an important cog in the Bay Port success this season reaching the State Semifinals and hitting .422 on the season. Rosenblum-Larson recently showed well at the Midwest Future Games Tryout. His long loose arm action sat at 83 mph with feel for all three pitches.
