Wisconsin 2018 Rankings Updated

By Steve Nielsen
Scouting Supervisor – Wisconsin/Illinois

The 2018 rankings were the most recent to get an update as we just revamped them in early September. A lot of these younger prospects still play fall high school sports as well so there is a ton of adjustments this go around. The top 10 stays intact and we’ve expanded from 25 to 35 after seeing several new prospects at the Southern Wisconsin Open this fall.

RANK NAME STATE SCHOOL CLASS POS COMMITMENT
1 Jarred Kelenic WI Waukesha West 2018 OF Louisville
2 Alex Binelas WI Oak Creek 2018 3B Louisville
3 Jeff Holtz WI Arrowhead 2018 C Indiana
4 Dillon Nowicki WI Stoughton 2018 RHP
5 Dawson Demant WI Union Grove 2018 SS
6 Max Alba WI Franklin 2018 RHP
7 Jackson Pothast WI Sheboygan North 2018 LHP
8 Jacob Campbell WI Janesville Craig 2018 C
9 Stephen Lund WI Verona 2018 C
10 Noah Berghammer WI Janesville Craig 2018 SS

Waukesha West OF Jarred Kelenic remains atop the 2018 class after wrapping up a big summer and fall tour. Kelenic can’t move any higher in the state rankings but you might see him get a slight bump in the overall rankings, due to be updated soon.

Since the last 2018 update, another prospect has come off the board. RHP Sean O’Brien (Marquette University HS) committed to Saint Louis University earlier this month.

Left-handed hitting outfielder Gunner Peterson (Wilmot) is the highest new addition to the rankings, cracking the top 20. Peterson has a lively bat with easy bat speed that will continue to play. We’ll touch more on the new additions later this week. For now. Take a look at the top 35 below.
