Wisconsin Class of 2014 Rankings Updated

Just days away from the early signing period (November 13) and just before a number of the state’s top recruits sign their National Letters of Intent we take a look at the updated Wisconsin Class of 2014 rankings.  17 of the ranked players in the Class of 2014 have made their college commitments including nine of the top ten. The list includes eight Division I commits.

The top of the list has little change with Jeren Kendall (Holmen), Zack Henderson (Greendale) and Scott Schreiber (Kimberly) holding on to the top three spots. Of the three, Schreiber is still yet to make a decision but has his choices narrowed down. Fred Manke (Lodi) has jumped up to the No. 4 spot after having a productive summer with the Reds Scout Team. Manke has been pitching at 86-87 mph with a slider ready for the next level. Manke also committed to Minnesota earlier this fall.

Colin Butkiewicz (Greendale), a switch hitting catcher with a big time arm, is the highest newcomer to the rankings jumping in at No. 8. Butkiewicz recently burst onto the scene this fall and shortly after featuring him in the Wisconsin Insider, Butkiewicz had committed to John A. Logan.

Other newcomers to the rankings include C Dominic Hillesheim (Menasha), INF Matt Gruse (Neenah), 3B Andrew Brahier (Jefferson), OF Connor Hafeman (Hortonville), Nicholas Kukurich (Appleton West) and RHP Kellen Shea (Sun Prairie).

Other notable risers in the class were Nate Stolte (Brookfield Academy), Jesse Sustachek (Oak Creek) and Sam Lund (Sun Prairie).
