Wisconsin Power 25 Team Rankings Updated

Last week bad weather postponed most of the action for the week so little changed among the Power 25 except for a new No. 1.
Previously top ranked Sun Prairie split a double header with Kimberly on Saturday, who was expected to be one of the top teams in the state. The split doesn’t hurt Sun Prairie too bad as they also beat a top ten team in Middleton last week, but it does knock them out of the top spot.
No. 3 Jefferson swept a double header against Whitewater on Saturday in impressive fashion with a pair of no-hitters by Heath Renz and Jacob Nelson.
Much like the rest of the top ten Appleton North took care of business last week and has kept themselves undefeated on the year. The Lightning’s perfect record takes over the No. 1 spot for the first time this year.
Fresh into the rankings last week at No. 10, Ashwaubenon couldn’t hold that spot long as they lost twice last week to unranked teams. The Jaguars could make up some ground as they take on Bay Port on Tuesday.
At No. 16 Janesville Parker makes the biggest jump into the Power 25 beating crosstown rival Craig 3-2 on Saturday. At 7-0 in the Big Eight, Parker has been off to a strong start and staying undefeated in the tough Big Eight will assure their ascension in the rankings.
