Rock Summer Championship 15U: Takeaways

We continued our summer tournament circuit this past weekend with the 15U Rock Summer Championship in Franklin, Wisconsin. This event targeted some of the top 2027 prospects from the state, as well as a couple surrounding states. Read on below to see which players stood out to our scouting staff from the event.
THURSDAY
15u Extreme Elite Midwest
RHP Aiden Willis (Father Mcgivney, 2027)
Advanced 6-foot-1, 170-pound frame. Started on the mound in Extreme Elite’s game against GRB Rays North. Took a no-hitter into the fifth inning, striking out 10 batters in six innings of work. Fastball sat 75-77 mph, topping at 78. Went to a mid-60’s breaking ball occasionally. He worked out of a ¾ arm slot and utilized his lower half down the mound. Repeatable, clean delivery.
5 Star Great Lakes Cambe
RHP Nolan Newell (Crown Point, 2027)
6-foot-3, 160-pound frame, lean build. Newell threw six strong innings, allowing just one earned run while striking out eight against one walk. Fastball sat around 72-75 mph and set up a sharp 63-64 mph curveball, working to both sides of the plate throughout.
5 Star Wisconsin 15U
UTL/LHP Jackson Mayer (Neenah, 2027)
Mayer had a strong all-around showing during Thursday’s action. The trim 6-foot-1, 155-pound L/L prospect got the start on the mound and batted second for 5 Star Wisconsin. Mayer’s biggest performance came at the plate where he tallied three hits, including a triple to deep center field. On the mound, he has a loose and clean operation with minimal effort. Mayer pounded the zone throughout his start, striking out seven over four innings of one-run ball with a low 70’s fastball (T73 mph).

Athletes HQ (McCabe)
3B/RHP Noah Hallahan (Geneva, 2027)
Hallahan showed two-way potential Thursday, hitting a home run and closing out the win for his ballclub. At the plate, the right-handed is a physically imposing presence, and it plays accordingly with easy power. He gets into his legs with a wider base and uses his above-average bat speed to generate hard contact. On the mound, the right-handed pitcher sat 84-85 mph and flashed a breaking ball in the mid-70s with easy velocity coming out of a 3/4 arm slot.

RHP/INF Andrew Evans (St. Charles East, 2027)
6-foot-1, 155-pound frame. Fastball sat in the 75-78 mph range with a 64-68 mph breaking ball also being flashed. At the plate, the rising sophomore also showed an athletic right-handed swing. There is plenty of projectability to advertise here as the St. Charles East two-way continues to develop physically.
1B Dylan McCabe (St. Charles East, 2027)
6-foot, 145-pound, athletic, left/left first baseman. Stood out at the plate throughout the weekend. Smooth, left-handed swing with upside and loose hands. Athletic defender at first base that presents an intriguing profile.
C Evan Gomez (South Elgin, 2028)
At just 14 years old, Gomez hit out of the four holes for an impressive Athletes HQ team. At the plate, the left-handed hitter presented a simple setup, sinking into his legs with loose actions and a flat bat path. Defensively, Gomez showed quality actions behind the plate, receiving the ball well with strong hands. The backstop also flashed a strong arm that helped limit the run game.
OF Kyle Larose (St. Charles East, 2027)
Larose found the barrel multiple times on Thursday with a smooth left-handed swing and contact-orientated approach. In setup, he stands in a tall and athletic, slightly-open position. In load, Larose utilizes his athleticism and loose hands to get into a strong position to hit.
BennieBoys Gold
RHP/1B Richard Carlson (South Beloit, 2027)
Athletic, 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame with some strength in lower half. Showed well on both sides of the ball in BennieBoys’ victory on Thursday afternoon. Carlson got the start and K’d four through 3.2 innings before being relieved. Allowed two runs, both unearned, and walked none. Was able to run his FB up to 82 mph which was complimented by a CB at 72-73 mph. Swung a physical bat from the right side that pulled a double that plated one. Tooled-up athlete that played with clear competitiveness all over the field.

RHP Kale Schneider (Lodi, 2027)
Schneider appeared in relief for BennieBoys on Thursday and gave an intriguing look over 2.1 innings of work. At 6-foot-2, 165 pounds, Schneider displayed athletic, fluid movement patterns on the mound throughout his delivery. Displayed a smooth, effortless delivery that worked in tandem with a quick, whippy arm action. Showed a lively FB that sat 78-80 mph, T81 with some cutting movement. Also flashed feel for a BB at 68-70 mph with a developing shape.

Canes Central Illinois-Casson 15U
SS Grady Grisham (Pleasant Plains, 2026)
Grisham presents an intriguing strong and wiry 5-foot-11,165-pound frame. Grisham helped offensively, going 2-for-3 against DTA. In the box, he has a spread out stance, a short load and fluid rhythm. He has a simple and efficient approach looking to drive the ball into the gaps. Defensively, he showed athletic actions and the ability to throw from multiple slots. He made several plays that also showcased his awareness of an internal clock.
3B Hudson Lovell (Morton, 2027)
Lovell had a stellar day going 3-for-3 with two RBIs to help the Canes against DTA. Lovell presents a physical 6-foot, 175-pound frame. Offensively, he has a spread out and athletic stance, loose hands and a short trigger. He has a simple approach and is looking to do damage in the box. Defensively he made some athletic plays, showing clean actions while working around the ball.
RHP Trevor Ames (St. Joseph, 2026)
Ames has an upside frame standing at 6-foot-3, 165-pounds. He showed athleticism on the mound, throwing from a loose and flexible ¾ slot. Mechanically, he showed a smooth and efficient delivery. Ames was sitting 81-83 mph and topping out at 85 mph, keeping hitters off balance with his 70 mph curveball.
Canes Illinois Black
RHP Decker McDonald (Naperville Central, 2027)
McDonald got the start for Canes Illinois Black on Thursday and took a no-hitter into the sixth inning. McDonald worked his fastball up to 74 mph in his start and punched out six over his 5.1 innings of work.
CRB 2027
RHP Justice Hernandez (New Trier, 2027)
Hernandez produced one of the most intriguing looks of the weekend on Thursday night in his start for CRB 2027. Listed at 5-foot-11, 140 pounds, the right-handed arm has plenty of room to fill in over the coming years and showed a wiry frame that contained athleticism. Hernandez filled the nightcap with fastballs in the mid-80s, a couple of which reached 86 mph. With his fastball sitting 82-85 mph, Hernandez complimented the advanced pitch with a tight curveball at 67-70 mph that moved across the zone and landed for outs. With the strong performance, Hernandez becomes a name-to-watch throughout the summer and into his next few high school seasons.

Elite Baseball Training Miller
1B Henry Alden (St. Ignatius College Prep, 2027)
Alden caught attention Thursday by presenting a strong left-handed bat that led off the game with a double off the wall. In stride, he gets into an athletic position to hit due to a simple trigger and loose hands, which create quality timing. Alden has a strong frame with strength, which allows him to drive the ball.
3B Colin Sims (St. Ignatius College Prep, 2027)
6-foot-2, 185-pound frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter stays athletic, sinking into his legs and relying on his quick-twitch hands, which are set up outward, parallel to his neck. In trigger, he utilizes a simple load, allowing his hands to get into a good position to hit with a slightly upward bat path.
RHP Sammy Kalil (Evanston, 2027)
5-foot-10, 150-pound right-handed pitcher stays athletic on the mound, delivering his arsenal from a 3/4 arm slot. Kalil's offspeed was a quality offering that sat in the upper 60s, with various batters having empty swings against the pitch, additionally allowing the fastball to play up. His fastball sat 73-77 mph, T78 with easy velocity coming out of the hand.
RHP Isaac Herdt (Chicago Christian, 2027)
Standing at 6-foot, 155 pounds, Herdt showed athleticism on the mound with an above-average fastball and breaking ball. The right-handed pitcher delivers his arsenal out of the 3/4 arm slot with easy arm speed and deceptive movements on the mound. He showed a fastball that sat in the 76-81 mph range and a sharp breaking ball in the mid-60s.
Five Star National Indiana 15U Marrow
RHP Carsyn Baker (New Palestine, 2027)
Possessing a strong full figure at a 6-foot, 200-pound frame, Baker excelled on the mound and at the plate contributing to Five Star’s 11-1 win over BennieBoys. On the mound, Baker has a controlled wind up and demonstrates a ¾ arm slot. He keeps the ball hidden from the batter and lands with his foot pointing to the right handed batter’s box. Baker’s fastball topped out at 77 mph while it consistently sat 74-76 mph. He had a sharp 64-65 mph curveball that got hitters on their front foot. In addition to pitching, Baker presents a compact swing with bat speed, going 2-for-2 at the plate including two RBIs and a double. Both hits ended up being line drives to left field.
Forceout Baseball
RHP Brian Simmons (Oak Creek, 2027)
5-foot-11, 140-pound frame, sloped shoulders and a long lower half. The right-hander threw four innings while only giving up one hit and two walks and striking out three. Mechanically, Simmons has a small leg kick with a ¾ arm slot and fully extends on his follow through. His sinking fastball is consistently 73-75 mph while topping out at 75. He also throws a sinking changeup that was thrown at 62-64 mph. Simmons was pumping strikes and hitting spots all over the zone.
GRB Rays Illinois Yellow
C Luke Flaskamp (Jacobs, 2027)
Flaskamp possesses an athletic and strong 5-foot-7, 150-pound frame. He excelled at the plate as well as behind the plate. Flaskamp went 2-for-3 at the dish with two doubles and an RBI. Mechanically, Flaskamp has a tall stance and his hips snap open quickly as he swings. He has a short, compact swing which allows his hands to get to the ball quicker. In addition to his offense, near the beginning of the game, Flaskamp threw a missile to first base after the pitch to pick off a runner. Active and willing blocker behind the dish.
Halos National 2027
LHP Joey Shaw (Muskego, 2027)
Possessing a strong, athletic, and proportionate 6-foot, 166-pound frame, Shaw helped contribute to the Halos 7-3 victory over Rake City Gold. Shaw threw 3.1 innings with five strikeouts allowing no runs, two hits, and one walk. Mechanically, Shaw is loose with control and balance on the mound. He throws sidearm and extends fully on the follow through. His fastball was mostly thrown arm side with run to it, topping out at 84 and was consistently 81-83 mph throughout the entire game. Shaw’s changeup was thrown at a consistent 72-73 mph with run to it, which made his fastball look much faster. Shaw also throws a sharp slider that was consistently thrown at 70-73 mph. Shaw constantly changed up his timing when he threw the ball to help throw off the hitters. The fourth-ranked prospect in Wisconsin picked up the win in his championship start. Shaw’s weekend culminated in tournament win, fitting for the weekend he had on the mound and at the plate.

3B Ethan Rudolph (St. Thomas More, 2027)
Rudolph possesses a strong, athletic, and proportionate 6-foot, 170-pound frame. Rudolph came up big for the Halos in their 9-0 win against MVP Elite. Rudolph was 3-for-3 at the plate with one RBI. Rudolph is a pull hitter with a tall, loose, and effortless swing. All of his hits were to left field with one of them being a double that bounced to the warning track.
RHP Gossard Gillaspie (Waterford, 2027)
Athletic, 6-foot-5, 195-pounds. Gillaspie was dominant in his start on Friday morning where he punched out 12 batters in the Halos Scout win. The right-handed arm featured a fastball at 77 mph that sat from 74-76 mph. Gillaspie also featured a changeup and a slider, both making for an efficient three-pitch mix that kept hitters guessing throughout the contest. Gillaspie’s final line included one run and just three hits over 6.2 innings - just narrowly missing a complete game. However, the performance was one to remember for the freshman as his name is one to take note of throughout the Midwest Halos program with impactful outings potentially ahead.
RHP Carson Lysaght (Elkhorn, 2027)
Recently showing well at the Milwaukee Preseason ID, Lysaght’s name has been one that has been circulating around Wisconsin’s 2027 class and showed why this weekend. Listed at 5-foot-10, 160-pounds, Lysaght gave an athletic look that moved well throughout his delivery. The right-handed arm ran his fastball up to 84 mph while it sat from 81-83 mph across multiple outings throughout the weekend and worked the corners for strikes. However, the pitch that stole the show was his slider which sat at 68-70 mph and spun up to 2900 RPM. Given the spin rate on the pitch, it was fitting to see it used to record outs and keep hitters guessing. The tight, sharp slider was a true put-away weapon generating swings-and-misses throughout the weekend.

RHP/1B Derrik Beckstrand (Elkhorn, 2027)
Durable, 6-foot-2, 225 pound-frame. Recorded a start on Saturday and picked up the win. Worked through 5.1 innings and allowed just one run. Punched out five and held White Sox Elite Black to just three hits. The right-handed arm ran his fastball up to 82 mph with carry through the zone. Beckstrand displayed a four-pitch mix that included a CH, CB, and a SL as well. With feel for all pitches, Beckstrand was able to work efficiently and consistently induced weak contact. Beckstrand was composed on the mound and worked calmly across his outing.

OF Carter Fry (Wisconsin Lutheran, 2027)
Donning the top of the Halos National lineup, Fry was the ideal leadoff across the weekend. Fry was all over the barrel with numerous shots to the gap and balls that landed to the sides of outfielders. Fry’s tools are clear to see as the 5-foot-10, 140-pound athlete flies around the basepaths and provides a spark to an offense with walks turning into doubles and triples via stolen bases. With said speed available to him, Fry captained the outfield and displayed a wide defensive range. Currently ranked No. 22 in Wisconsin, Fry has immense tools to build on throughout his high school years and is certainly a name to keep an eye on throughout the summer season.

2B Logan Michaels (Random Lake HS, 2026)
Michaels showed a physical 5-foot-10 180 pound frame with a strong lower half helping Hit machine defeat Rhino Hawkins early Thursday morning with an RBI double. He displayed a quiet setup with a long stride with a swing that generated opposite field power. Michaels also showed above average actions defensively and speed out of the box.
Hitters 2027 White
C/3B Matryk Kennedy (Indian Trail HS, 2027)
Kennedy gave an upside look at the plate with a 5-foot-10 155 pound frame. He showed athletic actions behind the plate, blocking difficult pitches in the dirt. Kennedy also backpicked a runner on second to help pick up an extra out for Hitters. At the plate Kennedy had a closed off stance and a swing that generated bat speed as he went 1-for-2 with a line drive RBI single.
Hounds Anderson 15U
C/CF Benjamin Miller (Hinsdale South, 2027)
Possessing a proportionate, strong 5-foot-10, 165-pound frame, Miller helped the Hounds defeat the Minnesota Blizzard in their 8-7 victory. Miller went 3-for-4 at the plate with two doubles and two RBIs. Miller is able to pound the ball on both sides of the field, with one of his doubles being a fly ball to left field and the other one being a double to right center. Mechanically, Miller bats in a crouched stance with a power swing having a slight uppercut with extension through impact.
Hounds Baseball - Chagnon
OF Owen Kanosky (Lockport 2027)
6-foot-3, 160-pound athletic build. Kanosky impressed early after hitting a line drive home run to right center. Left-handed hitter, he used his back leg well and showed a line drive swing to collect another hit later in the game going 2-for-2 with three RBIs.

Illinois Braves
3B Logan Wade (St Thomas More, 2027)
The rising sophomore showed a fuller athletic build at 5-foot-8, 160-pounds. At the plate, the right-handed hitter sets up sinking into his legs with the toe of the leading foot pointing inward, presenting loose hands and rhythm. He gets into an athletic place to hit with a flat bat path. Defensively, the third baseman showed quality actions and instincts, making some athletic plays. An outgoing personality in the clubhouse, his coach had good things to say about his work ethic and versatility.
Illinois Premier-Schmidt
LHP Liam Gorman (Lincoln-Way East, 2027)
Gorman turned in a stellar start for Illinois Premier on Thursday. The 5-foot-11, 135-pound incoming-sophomore punched out six over his complete game performance, while only allowing one run on four hits. Gorman pounded the zone throughout his start (72% strikes) and induced weak contact consistently.
MICHIANA REPETITION 15U LASANE
RHP Julian Cosey (Saint Joseph, 2027)
Long-limbed, 6-foot-2, 155-pound frame, clear potential for added strength. The right-handed pitcher used his size well with a whippy arm-action coming out of a 3/4 slot. The fastball sat 75-78 mph and topped out at 80, with there being more velocity in the tank, also flashing a mid-60s breaking ball.
OF James Craniti (St Joseph, 2027)
Criniti found the barrel multiple times on Thursday, showing a strong right-handed stroke. The outfielder stands relatively tall at the plate with loose hands and a slightly uphill swing path, utilizing an effective gap-to-gap approach. Standing at 6-foot and 195 pounds, the St Joseph student-athlete has an athletic frame that plays up. Criniti is a rising sophomore to follow as he continues to mature and refine his game.
Michigan Bulls - Marten
OF Gavin Goike (Dakota, 2027)
Goike found the barrel multiple times Thursday, showcasing an athletic 5-foot-9, 160-pound frame with present strength. The leadoff hitter didn't try and do too much with a simple swing that relied on his quick, loose hands. Goike additionally showcased gritty gameplay, perfect for a leadoff hitter, running well out of the box.

OF Colton McCaleb (Mason, 2027)
McCaleb showed an all-fields approach from the left side of the plate. The Mason student athlete sets up his loose hands high next to his head, sinking into his legs and staying athletic. The outfielder has a simple trigger, allowing him to get to a good position to hit with a slightly uphill swing path.
OF/RHP Jaxon Gatt (Catholic Central, 2027)
Gatt has an advanced frame, standing at 6-foot-2, 190 pounds with plenty of strength paired with projectable tools. The four-hole hitter showed mature actions at the plate, with a simple setup coming from a slightly wider base. He showed loose hands, which allowed him to get into a strong position to hit with a flat bat path.
1B Jaxson Fossitt (Leslie, 2027)
The right-handed hitting, left-handed throwing first baseman showed an athletic 6-foot-3, 215-pound frame that plays up. In setup, Fossitt stands tall with a slightly open stance and loose hands. Utilizing a simple trigger, he showed extremely quick hands, which allowed him to hit with a slightly uphill swing path.
RHP Caden Gawkowski (Stevenson, 2027)
Long-limbed, 5-foot-10, 150-pound frame. Projectable build with more fill to come. Fluid mover with a quick, whippy arm. Gawkowski punched out seven in his win on Sunday as part of a Michigan Bulls team that had immense success this weekend. The right-handed arm ran his fastball up to 84 mph and sat 81-83 mph. Gawkowski paired the pitch with a tight curveball at 72-75 mph that caught swings-and-misses while landing on the corners for strikes.

Minnesota Starters - 15U National
SS Vineel Kandi (Prior Lake, 2027)
Athletic 5-foot-6, 135-pound frame with plenty of room for growth. Kandi came up big for the Minnesota Starters in their game against Forceout. The righty batted leadoff and went 2-for-3 at the plate with a walk and two RBIs. Both of Kandi’s hits were on the right side of the field. Mechanically, Kandi has a contact swing, bats with a wide stance, and is able to connect with the ball when thrown on either side of the plate. In addition to his performance at the plate, Kandi excelled in the field as well. With four ground balls hit to shortstop, Kandi recorded four outs, including a difficult backhand play in the first inning. Mechanically, Kandi stays low and makes an effortless throw to first.
MN Blizzard Black
LHP Mark Susa (Hudson, 2027)
6-foot-2, 155-pound frame with long limbs. Susa collected nine strikeouts in 4.2 innings against the Hounds. The lefty portrays a high leg kick, long stride, full extension, and throws with a lower ¾ arm slot. With a running fastball, Susa throws to both the arm-side and glove-side. His fastball topped out at 80 mph and was consistently throwing it at 78-80 mph. Susa also presented a sharp slider which was consistently thrown at 68-70 mph. The running fastball/slider combo made hitters off balance all game.

5-foot-10, 150-pound build. Showed the ability to run down balls in the outfield and also showed power potential at the plate. He went 1-for-3 in the Grizzlies win against hitters but his hit proved to be the most crucial and resulted in a three RBI triple. He has a quick line drive swing and was fast out of the box and around the basepaths.

With a strong and athletic 5-foot-9 160-pound frame, Shintaku possesses quickness and agility at the plate, on the base paths, and in the field. He bats with a compact swing with quick hands. Wrezeszcz was a hit machine on Thursday, with a home run being the point of highlight. The rising sophomore presents an athletic 5-foot-10, 150-pound frame with a quality strength-to-size ratio. The right-handed hitter, Wrezeszcz gets into his legs to generate power with a flat bat path.

LHP Nick Hines (Lyons Twp, 2027)
5-foot-7 135-pounds. Nick Hines was pounding the zone for Rake City Gold against Halos National not allowing a single walk through four innings. Mechanically, the lefty throws with a lower ¾ arm slot allowing him to have heavy run on his fastball, posing a threat to left handed batters. He follows through with his right foot pointing toward the left-handed batters box. Most of his fastballs ended up arm side, however he has the ability to effectively throw glove side as well. He has a fastball which topped 78 mph and was consistently 74-77 mph with a slider that was 63-65 mph. With the run he has in his fastball, the fastball slider combo can pose a threat to hitters.

RHP Tre Eitniear (Ottawa Lake Whiteford, 2027)
Durable, 5-foot-10, 185-pound frame with some strength throughout. The right-hander was dominant throughout his start, firing seven shutout innings with just three hits allowed, no runs, one walk and nine strikeouts. The right-hander cruised around 80-82 with his fastball, attacking the zone consistently and setting up a hard slider at 71-75 mph with sharp action.

Ross showed an impressive set of tools on Thursday against the Illinois Braves. He presents a young and athletic frame with more room to grow and fill out. In the game he was 1-for-3 and his two outs that he had were line drives. In the box he has a short load and a simple approach looking to drive the ball gap-to-gap. Defensively, Ross made several athletic plays in the gap and showed instinct for covering balls off the bat. Ross has an impressive skill set and will continue to grow in the future.

RHP Lucas Wilder (Glenbard South, 2027)
6-foot-2, 160-pound frame, lean and wiry with room to add strength. The right-hander threw it well over his seven innings of work on Thursday, scattering four hits with no earned runs, one walk and four strikeouts. The slender right-hander attacked the zone with his fastball, cruising around 71-74 mph throughout.

SS Angelo Vitale (Ridgewood, 2027)
Vitale showed a contact-based approach Thursday that played up out of the leadoff spot, producing QAB after QAB for his Windy City squad. Vitale is athletic and uses it accordingly from the left side of the plate with loose hands and a slightly open stance. The shortstop didn't try to do too much and offered a good profile at the top of the lineup, with solid defensive actions at the six.

Crownhart impressed with the swings he got off during Friday’s action. The physical left-handed hitter batted out of the leadoff spot for Extreme Elite and didn’t light up the stat sheet but overall his actions and approach at the plate were what stood out, showing confidence in the box with the ability to control the zone. He also showed to be a reliable defender in center field with upside potential on both sides of the ball.
5 Star Wisconsin 15U
RHP Kale Wagner (Chilton, 2028)
Wagner dominated in his start against Rhino Baseball Fierro. The right-hander tossed six scoreless innings only allowing two hits, two walks and striking out two. Wagner’s fastball sat 72-73 mph with a curveball sitting 63-64 mph. While the right-hander was not overpowering hitters with velocity, he was able to take complete control of the zone. Wagner filled the zone with both pitches, getting ahead in counts and creating soft contact. He was crafty on the mound, able to easily command and generate outs. As Wagner continues to grow and develop velocity should follow, but as of now, he is primed to continue a strong summer.
3B Evan Cole (Winnebago Lutheran Academy, 2027)
Cole, a strong 5-foot-9, 190-pound frame, had a strong day at the plate for 5-Start Wisconsin. The right-handed hitting third baseman went 2-for-2 with a double, single, and walk. Cole demonstrated a quality approach at the plate and the ability to find barrels and drive the baseball.

RHP/3B Landon Paul (St. Charles North, 2027)
Paul, exhibiting an athletic 6-foot, 155-pound frame, had a busy and rewarding day on the mound and at the plate in Athletes HQ’s Friday afternoon win. The right hander’s pitching performance included six completed innings and seven strikeouts. The fastball, consistently thrown for strikes, sat from 74-76 mph, topping at 78; backed by a true 2/8 curveball sitting from 66-68 mph. Mechanically, displayed a ¾ arm slot, short arm swing, upright and in-line finish, and a repeatable motion from the windup and stretch. Offensively, he went 2-for-2 with a walk, pull side double, and two RBI single; showing the ability to change body positioning based on pitch location. An overall substantial amount of contributions, essential in Friday’s victory.
1B/RHP Jonathan Andrinopoulos (Central, 2027)
Athletic, long limbed 6-foot-4, 175-pound frame. Started at first base for his team against Hounds. Andrinopoulos quickly picked up two hits in his first two at-bats, recording a double to left center and a triple to center field. Active in the box with a tall and slightly open stance, sinks into the back leg before using a toe tap to start the swing. Defensively, has proper footwork around the bag with the ability to pick throws in the dirt.

The rising freshman Gomez continued to impress Friday, showing a patient approach and produced an opposite field single. The left-handed hitter has shown a simple loose stroke all weekend. Defensively, the catcher continued to impress, showing fluid actions with his hands and flashing an arm that kept the running game in check. The LHH-catcher profile is often coveted, and with Gomez playing up a year, he will most definitely be a name to follow.

Bruns, presenting a tall and wiry 6-foot-3, 177-pound frame, tossed a one run complete game en route to the Bennie Boys’ 5-1 Friday morning win. Working a three pitch mix, he quickly racked up swing and miss totals, striking out seven and only allowing two hits throughout the outing. Mechanically, displayed a high leg kick, long arm swing with extension, slight crossbody stride, upright finish, and a 3/4 arm slot. The fastball, showing arm side run and late life up in the zone, sat from 75-77 mph, topping at 78; followed by a putaway straight change, used versus righties, sitting from 69-70 mph, and a sharp slider, used versus lefties, sitting from 70-72 mph. All of which missed barrels and alluded hitters.

RHP/SS Chase Wolter (Whitefish Bay, 2027)
Wolter presented an intriguing athletic frame at 6-foot-2, 165 pounds on the mound. He fired 4.2 innings along with three hits at the plate in a Brew State Academy win. Mechanically, he showed a high leg kick with a high arm slot that generated whip. He used a two pitch mix between his fastball and curveball that kept the hitters guessing. The righty presented a fastball with late life at 80-83 mph topping at 84, while the breaking ball sat at 72-73 mph that he used in any count and had sharp 11/5 action to it.

6-foot-2, 190-pounds. Jones had quite an impressive display on Friday, firing a four-inning shutout to secure the victory for Canes Great Lakes. The right-handed pitcher allowed just one hit and struck out eight. Coming from a 3/4 arm slot, the fastball sat 78-81 mph and topped out at 82 mph. He also showed a sharp 11/5 curveball at 69-71 mph. Jones showed deceptive actions on the mound and kept hitters off balance all day, with the only hit being a bloop single.

5-foot-8 130-pounds. Casterton showed an advanced approach at the plate and a simple line drive swing. He was a prototypical leadoff man for the Canes going 4-for-4 with four singles and two stolen bases which was able to lead them to a win against ISA Black on friday morning.

LHP Dante Colasante (Naperville North, 2027)
5-foot-8, 150-pound frame. Dante Colasante threw it well on the mound for Canes Illinois Gold against 5 Star Cambe. Colasante threw a five inning perfect game not allowing a single hit or walk in their 11-0 win against 5 Star Cambe. The lefty tallied 12 strikeouts while only three opposing hitters were able to put the ball in play. Mechanically, Colasante has a tall stance with a ¾ arm slot, and throws with his legs parallel to home plate. With a running fastball, he hits his spots arm side and glove side, while consistently painting the outside corner against right handed batters. Colasante’s fastball topped out at 75 mph, and was consistently thrown at 72-75 mph throughout the entire game.
CRB 2027
RHP Aiden Rodriguez (Lakeview, 2027)
Rodriguez a 6-foot-1, 128-pound athletic frame. Dominated in his first start of the tournament. Rodriguez tossed five innings of scoreless ball with nine strikeouts, two hits and two walks. His fastball sat 77-78 mph and he flashed an off-speed pitch but relied on his fastball. The fastball was highly effective with life out of the hand. Rodriguez was able to pound the zone generating swings and misses and soft contact. He ran into some trouble with the bases loaded and only one out, but he stayed composed and worked his way out of it. With this type of performance, Rodriguez is slated to have a stronger summer, that can only get better with the development of a secondary pitch.
SS Waijdy El Halabi (Elmwood Park, 2027)
El Halabi an extremely athletic 5-foot-9, 145-pound frame, impressed in his first game Friday afternoon. At the plate, he demonstrated maturity and confidence ending the day with two singles and a hit by pitch. With a wide stance and long leg kick, El Halabi generates power and finds barrels through his quick hands and balanced hips. At shortstop El Halabi plays with confidence and lets his natural athletic ability take over. He made a handful of plays with ease and showed off an impressive arm. El Halabi is looking to continue as a serious threat at the top of the lineup and at shortstop for the rest of the summer.
2B Leo Chan (Elmwood HS, 2027)
Chan, an athletic, 5-foot-5, 130-pound frame, had an outstanding day at the plate showing off his sneaky power and speed. The second baseman collected two triples and a walk in CRB’s win over GRB Stiks White. Chan showcased the ability to drive the ball to all parts of the field, pulling a triple into the left-center gap and going oppo driving a ball into the right-center gap. His speed took the show turning stand-up doubles into easy triples. With continued standout performances from Chan, he is sure to make his way up to the top of the lineup and be a continued threat for CRB.
Dupage Training Academy Wildcats 15U Elite
SS Will Bute (York Community, 2027)
Standing in at 5-foot-10, 160-pounds with a strong, athletic, and proportionate frame, Will Bute helped lead Dupage Training Academy to a 10-2 win against the Minnesota Starters. The right-handed batter went 2-for-2 at the plate with one walk, two runs, and two RBIs. Bute can spread the field as he hit a fly ball double to left field and a line drive single to right center. Mechanically, he has a tall loose stance with an aggressive leg kick, while keeping the bat close to his body with a compact swing.
Five Star National Indiana 15U Marrow
C Hayden Kidd (Greenfield-Central High, 2027)
Kidd, presenting a strong 6-foot-2, 230-pound frame, made his mark on Five Star National’s 13-4 win Friday afternoon, going 3-for-4 and driving in seven RBIs; including a tiebreaking solo home run in the second inning, game breaking three run home run in the fifth inning, and putaway two RBI single in the sixth inning. Mechanically, he showcased a quiet load, direct lead hand, flat bat path, quick hands, and explosive hip torque, coupled with sizable pull-side power. Kidd, showing a feel for barrel placement and location, delivered loud contact in every at-bat; a dangerous run producer to monitor.

Rosalez proved to be an infielder to follow going forward after his performance friday morning against Brew State Academy. Rosalez showed smooth actions at shortstops with range. At the plate Rosalez showcased an athletic stance with a swing that generated power. He led the game off for GRB Rays Illinois with a hard hit single, taking the ball where it was pitched. Later in the game he sent a deep double to center field to put his team on the board. Rosalez is a name to keep an eye on in the coming years.

OF Grant Swim (Bay Port, 2027)
Swim proved to be an upside bat to monitor following his performance at the plate on Friday. Presenting a 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame with some present strength throughout, Swim was all over the barrel from the right side. Batting out of the leadoff spot, he went 2-for-3 with a ground-rule double to deep left field. Swim hit the ball hard every at-bat, even when he made an out he showed a knack for finding the barrel. What stood out the most from his offensive performance was his ability to go with the pitch, and show barrel strength to all fields. Swim started in centerfield for GRB Rays North Yellow and showed to be a natural defender out there with plenty of range for the position. A name to follow in Wisconsin’s 2027 class moving forward.

Utilizing a long and fast moving arm swing, over the top arm slot, back leg sink, and downhill extension, he created uncomfortable at-bats for hitters throughout the performance. The fastball, showing carry, late life, and thrown consistently for strikes, sat from 81-83 mph, topping at 84; backed by the occasional 12/6 curveball sitting from 70-72 mph. Pearson regularly drew soft contact and avoided damage, getting out of a bases loaded jam in his final inning of work. An overall impressive outing from the right hander.

Possessing a strong and full 5-foot-10, 183-pound frame, Parker Davis contributed to Hitters White in their game against Phenom Illinois Blue. At the plate, Davis went 2-for-2 with a HBP. The left-handed batter pulled the ball and drove in two RBIs on his ground ball double to right field. Mechanically, Davis has a relaxed and loose stance while keeping a majority of his weight on his back leg. His hands are loose while he drives the bat through the ball, making the swing look effortless.

3B Benjamin Miller (Hinsdale South, 2027)
Strong, proportionate, 5-foot-10, 165-pound frame. Miller came up big for the Hounds when they needed him in their game against Prospect Training Academy Lemmerman. The right-handed batter went 2-for-4 at the plate with three RBIs. In the bottom of the seventh inning, Miller came in clutch and hit a game-tying double to center field, scoring two runs. Miller is able to hit to all sides of the field, as his double was hit to center and a single to right. Mechanically, Miller has a wide power stance with a small leg kick. He has long bat extension with slight lift and is quick out of the box.

1B/OF Colin Doyle (Downers Grove North, 2027)
Doyle is an imposing 6-foot-6, 200-pound right-handed two-way to know from the weekend. He was on-base three out of four times during the game and showed a patient approach while not expanding the zone. He also showed a strong arm from the outfield a few times throughout the game that fits the corner-outfield profile. Doyle took the mound on Saturday and featured a heavy, lively fastball that sat 79-81 mph. The right-hander also showed a curveball at 67-71 mph that spun at 2300 rpm.

He had five RBIs on the day, including a grand slam and a hard hit single up the middle.

Mechanically, showed a slow and deliberate back leg sink, upright finish, and winding arm swing, while pitching from the extreme first base side of the rubber. The sinker with armside run sat from 73-75 mph, topping at 77; backed by the solemnly used cutter sitting from 71-72 mph.

CF Brody Langhans (Crown Point, 2027)
Stands in at 5-foot-10, 170-pounds. Langhans contributed in the Bulls 17-5 win against GTS. The right-handed batter went 2-for-3 at the plate with a triple, two runs, and an RBI. He is able to cover both sides of the field, as his triple was a fly ball to left field, and his single was a pop up to right field. Mechanically, Langhans bats in a crouched power stance with his hands close to his body. He has a toe tap stride and a compact swing with slight lift.
RHP Carter Dumaresq (Munster, 2026)
Wiry, long-limbed, 6-foot-2, 170-pound frame. Appeared in relief on Thursday and started in an elimination game on Sunday morning. Efficient worker who recorded three quick outs on Thursday and worked through five scoreless innings on Sunday. K’d six on Sunday and managed a close 2-1 victory that kept his squad’s championship hopes alive. Dumaresq’s fastball sat 83-85 mph, T86 mph and rode through the zone with life. Also displayed a CB and CH that he was able to get across for strikes.

Nelson stood out this weekend on the mound, at the plate and in the field. At 5-foot-6, 150 pounds, Nelson presents a physical frame with clear strength throughout. On the mound, Nelson produced a quality outing on Thursday in his squad’s win. Nelson tossed a five-inning shutout with a quick tempo - dictating the game at his will. The right-hander ran a fastball up to 81 mph while sitting 78-80 mph. In addition to the fastball, Nelson also featured a CH at 69-72 mph with arm-side-run while also often relying on his curveball. At the plate, the two-way athlete was on the barrel all weekend and carried the ball to the gaps. In the field, Nelson was primarily featured at second base and showed clear athleticism by covering gaps up the middle and to his left.

An imposing 6-foot-5 and 190 pounds, Swanson showed athletic actions on Friday. The left-handed hitter stays in an athletic position with his legs, incorporating a simple trigger that keeps the lower half engaged. In setup, Swanson's upper body is positioned somewhat uniquely with his right elbow tucked and left elbow flared, creating bat tilt. The first baseman showed a patient approach and took pitches well throughout the day. Definitely a name to follow as he physically matures.
C/INF Brady Dunnett (Oswego, 2027)
Dunnett showed high baseball IQ on Friday. The left-handed hitting catcher hit out of the leadoff spot, producing QAB after QAB for his Knight's baseball team. Dunnett has a gritty approach at the plate, not looking to do too much and letting his body do the work. He has a simple setup, swing, and trigger with a slightly uphill swing path. Defensively, the backstop showed steady actions and leadership, with a quality arm that kept the running game in check. Versatility is also a proponent of Dunnett's game, as he also flashed sure-handed actions in the infield.
MICHIANA REPETITION 15U LASANE
SS Ashton Lasane (St. Joseph - South Bend, 2027)
Lasane showed well on both sides of the ball Friday morning. Listed at 5-foot-11, 180-pounds with a sturdy build, he was on the barrel a couple times from the right side. Batting third for Michiana Repetition, he finished the day 1-for-3 with an inside-the-park home run late in the game to cut into the opposing team’s lead. Defensively, he showed immense feel for the position and advanced actions and range for his age.

RHP Tommy Maxwell (Northville, 2026)
Maxwell, a tall lean athletic 6-foot-4, 200-pound frame, tossed a great game in the Michigan Bulls win over Top Pick Academy Red. The right-handed pitcher has a fastball that sat 80-82 mph, along with a curveball that was sitting 69-73 mph. Maxwell worked well on the mound with fluid arm action and a smooth delivery. He was able to attack the zone with both pitches, consistently landing the curveball for strikes.
OF Alex Larson (Brighton HS, 2027)
Larson, a powerful 5-foot-10, 155-pound frame, impressed in the Michigan Bulls win over Top Pick Academy. He ended the game with a triple and two walks. Larson demonstrated a calm and confident presence in the box. With a balanced and level swing Larson is able to find barrels and drive the baseball deep into the outfield. With Larson's powerful frame, he is able to move well around the bases making quick turns and getting the extra bags.

Possessing a strong and full 5-foot-7, 205-pound frame, Rux contributed to the Minnesota Starters in their game against Dupage Training Academy. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-1 at the plate with two walks. His hit was a hard ground ball hit past the shortstop which scored in a run.

LHP/1B/OF Mark Susa (Hudson, 2027)
Susa, standing at a wiry 6-foot-2, 155-pound frame, had a pair of productive at-bats, going 2-for-3 in MN Blizzard’s Friday afternoon play-in game. The left handed hitter showed power to all fields and a gap to gap approach, lining a double into the pull side gap and triple to straight away center field; both of which had noticeable backspin and significant carry. Mechanically, he presented a medium leg kick and simultaneous truncated load, slight back foot lift, forceful hip torque, strong top hand, and flat bat path. An overall successful day at the plate, profiling as a middle of the order, run producing bat.
MN Blizzard Blue
RHP Oscar Waisanen (Benilde-St. Margaret’s, 2027)
Listed at 5-foot-10, 165-pounds, athletic, long legged frame, got the start for the Blizzards in their Saturday afternoon game. Waisanen worked a clean complete game with nine strikeouts, five hits, one walk and gave up one run. Attacked early with the fastball that played with arm-side action, clean out of the hand from a hidden 3/4 slot, played 81-83 mph while topping at 84 mph. Backing the fastball was a slider with late sweeping action, coming in at 71-73 mph.

OF Brady Jenkins (Barrington)
Jenkins did not disappoint in the game against Top Tier North Nationals. The left-handed batter went 3-for-4 with a triple and a run. Jenkins is able to spread the field with two hits being fly balls to right field and one being a ground ball to shortstop. Mechanically, Jenkins has a slight crouch and loose stance with a medium leg lift, barrel to ball, with slight lift. Jenkins is also quick out of the box and was able to reach third on his triple with ease.
Phenom Illinois 15U Blue
Joey Lengle (Huntley, 2027)
5-foot-9, 150-pounds. Lengle helped lead the way to a 8-4 victory for Phenom Illinois against Hitters White. Lengle came up big at the plate going 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs, and three RBIs. The left-handed hitter mostly pulled the ball to the right side of the field except for his double which was a deep fly ball to center. Mechanically, Lengle has a compact power swing with a low crouch, keeping his bat close to his body throughout the entire swing.

CF Mason Molthen (Nathan Hale High, 2027)
Possessing an athletic and strong 5-foot-8, 150-pound frame with broad shoulders, Molthen did not disappoint at the plate against the Hounds. Molthen had a 1.000 OBP the whole game with two walks and a single to center field. The right handed batter was calm and collected in the batter’s box. He has a tall and loose stance with loose hands. He has a double tap stride and a compact swing with slight lift.

C Connor Waters (Cedar Grove-Belgium, 2027)
The three-hole hitter and catcher for PTA Sobczak showed a good mixture of tools as a right-handed hitter, backstop, and leader. Defensively, the catcher showed good actions and a strong arm, with an ability to command both a pitching staff and defense, communicating well for his age. At the plate, Waters showed a simple stroke with loose hands and a gritty team-first approach. Waters sits at 5-foot-9, 130 pounds, and has plenty of physical development in front of him, but was still able to drive the ball for a double during his first at-bat.
RHP Cole Biscobing (New Berlin Eisenhower, 2027)
A stocky 5-foot-10, 215-pounds, Biscobing utilizes his body well on the mound. Coming from a 3/4 arm slot, the right-handed pitcher's fastball sat in the upper-70s, topping out at 81, also flashing a low-70s changeup that had fade. The New Berlin Eisenhower student athlete bounced off the mound well, getting extension and using his legs to generate velocity. Biscobing should be a name to follow as he continues to refine his pitchability.

OF Robert Kolovitz (Oak Park-River Forest, 2027)
Listed as 5-foot-7, 165-pounds, showed his power with his first two plate appearances of the game. In his first at-bat, hit the base of the center field fence for a long single that scored a run. His second plate appearance, Kolovitz left the yard for a two-run home run to left field. The swing is short and direct to the ball.

INF Zach Marvel (Normal West, 2027)
West found the barrel multiple times Friday, displaying an athletic 5-foot-10, 145-pound frame. The right-handed hitter had a line-drive approach with a simple athletic setup at the plate. West showed loose hands, good timing, and a flat bat path. West has some physical development in front of him, but his athleticism and ability to find the barrel stand out.
OF Braydon Laesch (Heyworth Jr-Sr, 2027)
Laesch showed fluid movements on Friday with an athletic 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter stands tall with loose hands and a slightly uphill swing path. The centerfielder moves well and is an athletic presence on the field.
C Andrew Falstead (Normal University, 2027)
Falstead showed an ability to drive the ball Friday, driving the ball for an impressive oppo line drive home run. The catcher moves surprisingly well with an athletic 6-foot, 165-pound frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter showed a gap-to-gap approach with an athletic setup and loose hands. Falstead is stronger than he looks, and that strength plays accordingly.

RHP Kobe Jordan (Providence Catholic, 2027)
Jordan, a strong, athletic 6-foot-2, 175-pound prospect, had a good game on the mound for Rhino Baseball Fierro. The right-handed pitcher had his fastball sitting 78-80 mph, along with a slider sitting 65-67 mph. Jordan had a fluid motion with a clean arm action, with the ability to generate velocity with ease. His slider paired extremely well with his fastball, being able to freeze hitters and generate whiffs.

3B/RHP Landon Echelberry (Findlay, 2028)
6-foot-2, 195-pound, athletically-built, right-handed hitting, two-way prospect. Contributed heavily at the plate and on the mound in the Stars’ Friday morning game. On the mound, he threw seven innings of one run ball using a three pitch mix, striking out ten; six swinging and four looking. Side-arm slot, abbreviated arm action, on-line at foot strike. Fastball was deceptive with arm-side-run, sat 82-83 mph, topping at 85. Slider, tight putaway pitch, 73-74 mph and mixed in a diving changeup from 75-76 mph. At the plate, he went 2-for-3 with a pair of opposite field singles and two stolen bases. Strong wrists, above-average bat strength and plate coverage, whole field approach. Stood out against players a class older.

SS Jonah Chavez (Lakeshore, 2027)
Chavez, coming in at an athletic 5-foot-11, 170-pound frame, impacted the final score on both sides of the ball in Top Tier Americans’ 5-2 win Friday night, going 2-for-3 with an RBI at the plate and making five defensive putouts. Defensively, he exhibited an accurate and strong arm from a ¾ slot, soft hands, smooth footwork, and an ability to throw from different arm angles when necessary; four of the five putouts were 6-3 ground ball outs. Offensively, showed a positive feel for the strike zone, stroking an opposite gap triple and RBI single. On the base paths, he showcased above average speed and keen ability to take the extra base when given the opportunity. Chavez presents an under the radar profile to keep an eye on.

MIF Seamus O’Meara (Nazareth Academy, 2027)
O'Meara had the walk-off single for the Top Tier Nationals Friday, displaying a comfortable presence in the box, and it allowed him to come through for his team. The right-handed hitter has an athletic frame, standing at a verified 5-foot-9, 158 pounds. The right-handed hitter has a balanced setup and utilizes a simple toe tap to get into a position to hit.

C Scott Kavanaugh (Loyola Academy, 2027)
Kavanaugh showed well behind the dish and at the plate Friday afternoon. He impressed with his overall motor, playing the game hard on both sides of the ball. Defensively, he is a loose-wristed receiver, able to steal strikes at times, while also showing advanced actions for the position regularly. Offensively, he is a right-handed hitter that showed high bat-to-ball skills out of the leadoff spot for Top Tier North Navy, while flashing some barrel strength at times as well.

RHP Sam Selhorst (Glenbrook South, 2027)
Tall and lanky 6-foot-2, 165-pound frame with a long lower half. Selhorst helped Top Tier defeat MVP Elite in their 7- 4 win. Selhorst started on the bump that game and went five innings, giving up three earned runs with seven strikeouts and only one walk. Mechanically, the righty is loose and throws out of a ¾ arm slot with a long stride making his throws look effortless. He pounded the zone with his fastball which topped out at 77 mph and was consistently thrown 74-76 throughout the first five innings. He throws a 66 mph dropping changeup with a sharp 59-62 mph slurve. With room for growth, Selhorst was impressive in his outing.

C Carson Bremmer (Verona, 2027)
Bremmer showed a good feel to hit Friday for Verona Baseball. The left-handed hitter stands tall at the plate with a slightly open stance. Incorporating a simple trigger, Bremmer utilizes a flat bat path that produces solid contact. Defensively, the catcher showed decent actions. An athletic 6-foot-1 and 165-pounds, the Verona student-athlete has a high waist and is sure to develop more physically.

Riggs had an impressive day on the mound Friday, allowing no earned runs during his start. Riggs showed quality pitchability, mixing his fastball and breaking ball well, keeping the opposing hitters off balance.

SS/3B/C Aidan Lucas (Wheaton North, 2027)
Lucas, presenting a lean and athletic 5-foot-9, 150-pound frame, powerfully contributed offensively and impressed defensively in White Sox Elite’s Friday afternoon play-in game. Offensively, he showed off the pull side power hitting a solo home run to left field in the fourth inning. Mechanically, portrayed a slightly closed stance, toe tap for timing, quick hands, and a leveled off stride. Defensively, demonstrating soft hands and horizontal quickness, he made two dazzling plays at third base, including a one-step diving play to his arm side and straight on one hop pick on a scolding line drive. An overall impressive game for Lucas, profiling as a player monitor with further development.

Grimes, standing in at an athletic 5-foot-10, 165-pound frame, had a strong day at the plate Saturday. He slugged two singles to go 2-for-3 at the plate with a walk, two RBIs, and three runs. He displayed strong plate discipline in multiple at-bats as he was able to wait back on a slider to poke it up the middle for a single and he also worked a walk later in the game to bring in a run and later score. Mechanically, he displayed quick and direct hands, and was able to work through the ball well. Grimes looks to be a sophomore bat to look out for this upcoming high school season.

Dutton, comes in at a lean but agile 6-foot, 170-pound frame. He had a strong day at the dish for 5 Star Great Lakes on Saturday, going 2-for-2 at the plate with two walks, two RBIs, and three runs scored. He showed strong bat-to-ball skills as he produced two barrels for two singles on the day. Mechanically, he displayed loose hands with a flat bat path. An overall big day for the right-handed shortstop.

Hallahan continued to impress this weekend on the other side of the ball as he took the bump Saturday and hurled a five-inning complete game shutout. He displayed strong command on the mound with his fastball, as he consistently painted corners at 80-83 mph eventually topping 84 mph in the 5th inning. He also produced whiffs with his sharp slider at 70-72 mph. Mechanically, Hallahan presented a loose and easy downhill delivery, showcasing strong hip torque with his motion. He finished the game with five innings pitched, seven strikeouts, one hit, one walk, and zero runs to give Athletes HQ an 8-0 victory. He showed strong upside on the mound this weekend along with a strong bat and he will certainly be a player to follow as he continues to rise.

SS Benjamin Swanson (Willowbrook, 2027)
Swanson, standing at a proportionally athletic, 5-foot-9, 140-pound frame, produced a pair of clutch swings in Chicago Elite’s Saturday night game. The right handed hitting middle infielder displayed an up the middle approach with a tie-breaking RBI infield single in the second inning and two RBI single to center field in the fourth inning, providing a 7-4 lead at the time. Mechanically, showcased a short stride, quick load, and balanced lower half. He provided a productive boost at the bottom of the order, valuable over the course of the game.

OF Isaiah Martin (Lane Tech, 2027)
5-foot-9, 163-pound frame, athletic build with room to add on strength. The right-handed hitter was on the barrel in this look, displaying loose and whippy hands that stay through the zone, upside swing that continues to show well in front of our staff.

5-foot-9, 145-pound frame with some athleticism throughout. Smooth, athletic delivery, created a fastball up to 81 mph while cruising around 80 mph. He also flashed a short slider at 69-70 mph with some feel for the zone.

SS Connor Hites (Saint Ignatius, 2027)
Lean, athletic 6-foot, 175-pound frame. Impressed in his game Saturday against the Illinois Lighting. Although he only went 1-for-3 with a single, Hites still showcased the bat with multiple hard hit outs that found the fielder's gloves. Hites processes maturity and a quality approach in the box, having high intent with every pitch that came in. With a quick, compact swing, Hites is able to drive the ball and generate power through effective use of his hips.
GRB Rays North Yellow
RHP Braydan Frank (North High, 2027)
Frank, standing at a physical 6-foot-1, 200-pound frame, tossed a strong outing in GRB’s 12-4 win Saturday night. Utilizing a three pitch mix, he was consistently able to keep hitters off balance, forcing weak contact throughout the first four innings of the performance. Mechanically, showcased an over the top arm slot, abbreviated arm swing, slight offset first base stride and finish, and deep back leg sink. The fastball, thrown early in counts to get ahead of hitters, sat from 73-75 mph, topping at 76; backed by a 12/6 curveball at 67-68 mph and occasional changeup at 69-71 mph. A clean outing that set the tone for GRB.
Hit Machine
C Carter Gellings (Campbellsport, 2027)
Gellings, standing at a lean 5-foot-5, 130-pound frame, put together multiple quality at-bats in Hit Machine’s 9-4 win Saturday afternoon, going 1-for-1 with a pull side RBI single. He consistently worked deep in counts, showing a keen eye for the strike zone, drawing two walks and setting the table for big innings out of the three-hole in the order. Mechanically, showcased a closed stance, toe tap for timing, strong base and stride, flat bat path, and a fluid transfer of weight at the point of getting the front foot down. An overall unselfish set of at-bats that proved crucial in Saturday’s win.
Illinois Braves
3B Logan Wade (St. Thomas More, 2027)
Wade, an extremely athletic 5-foot-8, 160-pound frame, stood out for the Illinois Braves Saturday afternoon. Wade doubled in his first at-bat, then proceeded to walk two times. The right-handed hitter was calm in the box with a quick, level swing. Where Wade really showed well was on the defensive side of the ball. Every ball hit towards him was handled confidently with fluid feet and hands working through the ball. He showed an impressive arm that worked from multiple angles. Wade demonstrated hustle and effort laying out for balls.
SS Paxson O’Malley (Mahomet Seymour, 2027)
5-foot-9, 125-pound frame. Had a strong day with the bat for the Illinois Braves. He ended the day with two doubles and a line drive straight to the left feilder. The right-handed hitter showcased a simple/balanced swing with power that found barrels all day long.
Illinois Lightning 2027 Lutz
OF Johnathon Gomez (Libertyville, 2027)
Strong 5-foot-8, 150-pound frame. Had an all-around strong game for the Illinois Lighting. Gomez started the day with an opposite-side double in the right-center gap and followed that by a line drive out. With rhythm in the box paired with quick hands, Gomez is able to get the bat to the ball and drive it to all parts of the field. Gomez also impressed with his defensive abilities. He is a rangy defender making several plays in right field. He also showed a stronger arm with the ability to throw accurately on a line. Gomez is a player to watch as he improves with his bat as the summer goes along.
OF Luke Sickmeir (Wauconda, 2027)
6-foot-0, 160-pound frame. Impressed in the Illinois Lighting’s win over Elite Baseball Training Miller. Sickmeir had a single and a walk on the day. He demonstrated patience and intent at the plate, taking pitches with a purpose, always ready to strike. For his single, he recognized spin and was able to stay back and get the barrel to the ball driving it to left field. Sickmeir has a smooth swing from the right-hander's batters box and is able to stay compact and through the ball.
MICHIANA REPETITION 15U LASANE
OF James Criniti (St. Joseph, 2027)
Criniti, displaying a physical 6-foot, 195-pound frame, had a busy and successful day at the plate in both of Michiana Repetitions’ games Saturday night. The right handed hitting outfielder went 4-for-4 with four RBIs and a walk over the two game span, working all fields with a gap to gap approach. Mechanically, showcased a balanced plant foot and stride, flat bat path, quick hands, and plate coverage. Defensively in center field, showed first step quickness and a feel for body positioning on flyball tracking, while completing a pair of flyball putouts. A set of complete performances vital in securing a split over the two game evening.
Minnesota Starters - 15U National
RHP/SS Vineel Kandi (Prior Lake, 2027)
Kandi, standing at an athletic 5-foot-6, 135-pound frame, had a productive game going 2-for-2 with two RBIs in the Minnesota Starters’ Saturday morning play-in game. The right handed hitting infielder demonstrated a consistent opposite field approach and willingness to hit the ball where it was pitched, driving two singles to right field on outside corner fastballs. Defensively at shortstop, displayed a quick transfer, soft hands, efficient and clean footwork, and above average gloveside range. An overall sound performance from Kandi.
MVP Elite Baseball 2027 Kempema
3B Oliver Gunn (Barrington, 2027)
Gunn, exhibiting a proportionally athletic 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame, provided an offensive boost in MVP Elite’s 8-8 Saturday morning tie, going 2-for-2 with a walk and two RBIs. Displaying a gap to gap approach, the right handed hitting infielder delivered a two RBI double to the right-center gap in the fifth inning, giving MVP Elite a 4-1 lead at the time. Mechanically, displayed a strong lead hand, steady head at the point of contact, quick hands, and in-line stride. Defensively, showcased range to the gloveside and profiled third baseman arm, while completing a few ground ball putouts. An overall valuable game from Gunn.
Prospect Training Academy 15U Sobczak
RHP/2B Jayden King (Union Grove, 2027)
King pitched six strong innings for PTA and maintained velocity throughout the game sitting 79-82 mph with his FB for most of the game and eventually finishing out at 80-81 mph in his final inning of work. His CB was 60-62 mph with an 11/5 break and his slider was 65-67 mph with a notable amount of horizontal break. Mechanically, King showcased an easy delivery that flowed well rhythmically. He exhibited a loose and whippy ¾ arm action that produced weak contact. An overall strong day for the right-hander.
Puma Academy 15u
SS/CF Carson St Martin (Shoreland Lutheran, 2026)
Athletic, 5-foot-9, 155-pound frame. Had several quality and clutch at-bats in Puma Academy’s 8-8 Saturday morning tie, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Demonstrating a pull side approach, the right handed hitter delivered a two RBI double to left field in the fifth inning, cutting the deficit to one at the time; also adding a pair of singles out of the leadoff spot. Mechanically, displayed above average bat to ball skills, a balanced stride, quick hands, connected back elbow, and efficient load. St Martin profiles as a top of the order bat with the ability to set the table for the middle of the lineup.

INF Liam Creighton (Benet, 2027)
6-foot, 150-pounds, wiry build with room to add on strength. Scrappy right-handed hitter, quick and direct hands to the ball, takes balls outside of the zone with confidence and has quality awareness of the strike zone.

C Brayden Sher (Adlai E Stevenson, 2027)
5-foot-10, 145-pound frame. Sher displayed discipline and zone awareness throughout all his at-bats racking up three walks in one game. With a calm presence at the plate, Sher worked at-bats and got into full counts, fouling off pitches, making the pitcher work until he won. In his final at-bat, he showed off his powerful balanced swing with a line drive to the center fielder. Sher also impressed behind the plate, looking athletic and comfortable in a variety of stances. He also showed a strong arm on a pair of throwdowns on a line.

BennieBoys Gold
OF/ C Levi Boivin (Neenah, 2027)
Boivin, coming in at an athletic 6-foot-1, 200-pound frame, had an impressive day at the plate on Sunday. The JFG-alum went 2-for-3 with a backside triple over the RF’s head, exhibiting the ability to hit the ball to all sides of the field. He also was able to showcase range in the outfield this weekend covering ground to make several plays. Mechanically, Boivin presented a medium load with a strong lower half, loose hands, and notable bat speed. He played a huge role in BennieBoys Gold’s offense and helped provide the spark that lifted them to a 7-5 comeback victory.
RHP/ SS Braxton Mazurkiewicz (Dakota, 2027)
Mazurkiewicz, standing in at a wiry 6-foot, 155-pound frame, provided an interesting look in a relief appearance to earn BennieBoys Gold a comeback 7-5 victory. He came on in the second inning and shut the door completely, not allowing a single hit through six innings of work. He showcased excellent command of his two pitch mix as he was able to consistently spot both pitches around the zone for strikes. His fastball sat 74-76 mph for most of the game and his curveball mimicked 12/6 movement and fooled several hitters at 62-64 mph. Mechanically, Mazurkiewicz displayed an over-the-top delivery with a short leg kick, working quickly on the mound. As he continues to grow into his body, he will certainly be an interesting arm to follow as he matures. Final Statline: W 6.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 6 K, 3 BB

RHP/ SS Collin Grosenheider (Williamsville, 2027)
Grosenheider, presenting a wiry 6-foot, 145-pound frame, had an outstanding day on the mound Sunday tossing seven efficient innings for a complete game win. He maintained velocity throughout the game as he started and finished his outing throwing his fastball at 78-81 mph, and his curveball ranged from 66-69 mph with 11/5 movement. Mechanically, he demonstrated repeatability with his motion and threw consistent strikes throughout the game with a 65% strike percentage. His loose ¾ arm action also showcased strong potential as well. An overall impressive game for the right-hander. Final Statline: CG, 7.0 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 2 BB 9 K
Rhino Baseball Central IL Hawkins
OF Braydon Laesch (Heyworth, 2027)
Laesch, providing an agile 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame, provided a massive spark at the plate for Rhinos on Sunday. He went 2-for-3 at the plate crushing a double over the LF, also producing an RBI later in the game with a single. He showcased strong bat-to-ball skills over the weekend and found multiple barrels throughout the tournament. Mechanically, Laesch presented smooth swing and direct hands with a level bat path.
Top Tier Americans - Erway
RHP/ SS Brady Mickelson (Mattawan, 2027)
Mickelson, standing in at an athletic 5-foot-8, 155-pound frame, impressed on both sides of the ball on Sunday. He tossed five strong innings and went 2-for-2 at the plate for Top Tier Americans in their tight 2-1 victory to move on in bracket play. On the mound, Mickelson showcased a ¾ arm slot with a downhill delivery. He utilized his two pitch mix well throughout the game displaying command with his fastball and slider. His fastball sat 75-78 mph and his slider was 66-69 mph. At the plate, Mickelson had a double in the last inning that energized the Top Tier offense to come back from their one-run deficit. The two-way prospect appears to be an intriguing sophomore to look out for.
MONDAY
Canes Central Illinois-Casson 15u
RHP Brody Phillips (Arcola, 2027)
5-foot-10, 155-pound frame, lean and projectable build. The right-hander impressed with a loose, quick arm that produced a fastball up to 80 mph, cruising in the upper-70s. To pair off the fastball he went to a gradual 11/5 curveball in the mid-60s.
RHP Matt Whittman (West Prairie, 2027)
The right-hander came out of the ‘pen for Canes and impressed with well above-average arm strength. He has a simple, athletic delivery with the ability to repeat, creating a fastball in the 83-85 mph range with around 2500 rpm.
Halos National 2027
RHP/1B Henry Koopmeiners (Waukesha North, 2027)
Physical, 6-foot-3, 220-pound frame with clear strength throughout. Koopmeiners started for the Halos in an elimination game on Sunday morning and tossed a five-inning shutout which sent his squad to the championship game. Koopmeiners featured a heavy fastball that played through the zone at 81-83 mph and jumped out of his hand. The right-handed arm paired the pitch with a tight curveball, containing some slider-like features, at 71-74 mph. Ultimately, Koopmeiners was able to walk away from his start having allowed just four hits, three strikeouts, and no walks.

LHP Colton McCaleb (Mason, 2026)
The southpaw threw the ball well Monday morning to help advance the Bulls to the championship game of the weekend, firing a complete game shutout. The left-hander cruised around 78-82 mph with his fastball, setting up a slider at 64-65 mph, thrown with confidence in any count and playing with tight 2/8 shape. Perhaps the most impressive part of his outing was that he was still touching 80 mph in the seventh inning.
