At the end of each calendar year, the PBR Wisconsin Staff highlights the 10 most viewed profiles of 2023 in the state of Wisconsin. Today, we’ll be continuing our way up to the top spot, with No. 9 and unveiling the No. 1 most viewed profile Dec. 30.

Our profiles serve as an all-in-one platform for players, hosting vendors such as verified stats, event video, contact information, and more. To create a free PBR profile, click HERE.

One of the state’s premier prospects, MIF/RHP Ben Kuglitsch (Muskego, 2026; Florida State commit) comes in at No. 9 most viewed profile in the state of Wisconsin.

Kuglitsch’s freshman campaign started early on into the year, more specifically at the Milwaukee Preseason ID. There, the lean and athletic 6-foot-2, 165-pound prospect proved to be one of the state’s top prospects, regardless of class, after putting together a standout all-around performance; here is what our staff had to say regarding it:

“...started off his day by running a 7.03 in the 60-yard dash, which speaks to the advanced athleticism Kuglitsch currently possesses. He then moved over to the infield defense portion of the event and there he really stole the show. While on the infield, Kuglitsch is an athletic mover with fluid actions that point to him having the ability to stick at the shortstop position in the long run, and he pairs his advanced actions with a advanced arm that topped at 89 mph across the diamond. Offensively, Kuglitsch sets up with rhythm and utilizes a free and easy swing that creates leverage to drive the ball hard to all parts of the field. He registered some of the day's loudest metrics, with a 93.7 mph max exit velocity, and an average bat speed of 73.9 mph. Overall, Kuglitsch is an advanced prospect within the state's talented freshman class and his performance at the MOSH was just the first of many impressive ones we expect to see throughout his prep career.”

As just a freshman, Kuglitsch cracked the starting lineup for his talented Muskego squad and despite his young age, he fit right in. Back in April, our staff got to see Kuglitsch’s talents first-hand at the annual Prep Baseball at The Rock High School Invitational where he collected a number of hits in Muskego’s two games of the weekend, all while being a lockdown defender at the hot corner.

At the end of April, Kuglitsch announced his commitment to ACC member Florida State, making him the third prospect in Wisconsin’s 2026 class to do so before the NCAA implemented its new recruiting rules.

Now as a sophomore and a full year at the prep level under his belt, the No. 2 prospect in the state will look to take a much bigger role for the Warriors come the spring and he certainly has the talents to do so. Kuglitsch is one of the main pieces of a Muskego squad that holds a bright future, one that features multiple 2026 and 2027 graduates in the top-15 of their respective class rankings in Wisconsin.

Scouting Report

11/16/22

Using a short compact stroke with very quick hands, Kuglitsch’s hit and power tools stood out to us with his ability to hit balls hard to all over the diamond and loft balls over the fence. His power will continue to be one of his carrying tools as his frame will continue to fill out and get stronger. Additionally, Kuglitsch has smooth athletic actions at shortstop with plenty of arm to stick on the left side of the diamond. Kuglitsch also impresses on the mound with a fastball up to 85 mph and ability to use his offspeed for strikes. Kuglitsch has an extremely high ceiling and is one of the more exciting prospects to keep an eye on going forward.
