On July 30th and 31st the PBR Wisconsin team hosted the first-annual Wisconsin State Games at the Rock in Franklin, WI. This invite-only event was for all high school classes (2025-28), and gave our staff a chance to get a look at nearly 200 prospects at the end of the summer. The event featured 10 teams, a position player showcase, and a three-game guarantee per player.

The list below is a combination of a player's showcase performance, along with their in-game performance from the event.

TOP 2026/2027 OVERALL PROSPECTS

1. Maddux Lessard, Muskego (WI), 2027
Positional Profile: C/SS
Body: 6-0, 187.6-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Slightly open setup, gets into legs in setup and throughout. Aggressive swing, high intent, looks to drive the ball to all fields, feel for the barrel with leverage out front, advanced power for his age. 68.5 mph bat speed with 11 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 96 max exit velocity, averaged 83.4 mph. 326’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C - 79 mph. Plays with carry to the base, some intent, accurate.
Defense: 2.09-2.20 pop times. Works in-line, towards target, soft hands, soft blocker, has advanced feel for the position, understands game calling and has leadership presence for pitchers.
Run: 7.10 runner in the 60.

2. Brett Biondich, Kettle Moraine Lutheran (WI), 2026 Texas Christian
Positional Profile: 1B/RHP
Body: 6-2, 200-pounds.
Delivery: Rocker step into a high leg lift, extended forward motion towards home, sinks into back leg, rides down mound.
Arm Action: RH. Loose, whippy arm, 3/4 slot, full extension forward through pitch.
FB: T90, 87-89 mph. Firm fastball that plays with life and carry through the zone, late life, strikes. T2504, 2294 average rpm.
SL: 77-79 mph. Late break, defined horizontal movement, 10/4 shape, thrown in all counts, aggressive put-away pitch. T2575, 2421 average rpm.
CH: 79-80 mph. Able to throw in all counts, feel for inside placement, some arm-side run. T1501, 1439 average rpm.

3. Montgomery O'Brien, Wauwatosa East (WI), 2026
Positional Profile: LHP/OF
Body: 6-2, 178.8-pounds.
Delivery: High 3/4 slot, quick, loose, aggressive, repeats, on-line arm action.
Arm Action: LH. Medium leg lift, lands cross body to create deception, dynamic, well-sequenced.
FB: T85, 82-85 mph. Backspin, good carry through the zone. T2303, 2211 average rpm.
CB: 74-74 mph. Tight break, 11/5 shape, out pitch weapon. T2247, 2247 average rpm.

5. Ryan Rose, West Bend West (WI), 2027
Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Body: 6-0, 180-pounds.
Hit: LHH. Stock setup, controlled leg lift, lands balanced, controls head. Short path to the zone, feel for the barrel, extension through contact, handsy. 65.7 mph bat speed with 5 G’s of rotational acceleration.

Arm: RH. INF - 76 mph. Easy actions, ball has carry, multiple angle release.
Defense: Confident hands that work out front, some bounce to his step with easy actions, plays with timing and rhythm.

6. Dylan Schreiber, Waukesha West (WI), 2027
Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-6, 180.6-pounds.
Delivery: Minimal leg lift, some crouch, full extension backwards.
Arm Action: RH. Long, full arc, lower 3/4 slot.
FB: T86, 82-85 mph. Life through zone, contains some late arm-side run, flashes ability to hit outside corner. T2064, 1900 average rpm.
SL: 65-67 mph. Later break, plays through the zone with depth, 11/5 shape. T2074, 1932 average rpm.

8. Logan Hagman, Hudson (WI), 2027
Positional Profile: C/OF
Body: 6-1, 180-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Wider base and open setup, gets loaded into a strong hand trigger at foot plant. pull-side approach with extra leverage, contacts the baseball out front, swings with intent. 75.5 mph bat speed with 7 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 98 max exit velocity, averaged 86.3 mph. 371’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C - 74 mph. Short arm action, repeats, plays accurate and with carry to the target.
Defense: 2.15-2.28 pop times. Works through baseball with short and quick right foot towards second base, clean transfers, reliable blocker, has good feel for the position especially for age.

Body: 6-0, 192.2-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Higher hands, wide base, strong trigger, leverage. Swings with intent, feel to elevate the baseball to all fields, quick hands. 71.1 mph bat speed with 12 G’s of rotational acceleration.
