The most electric arm at the event was indeed Seth Gurr. So much to like about his stuff. Gurr works from a simple delivery with limited movement and sinks into his back leg. He moves forward very efficiently as the ball jumps out of his hand. Up to 86 with the fastball on the day, but his best pitch is his curveball. Tight downward action to it and throws it firm. The slider has a more horizontal bite and mixes in a firm splitter that drops off the table. He throws all of his pitches for strikes too. Gurr would be an immediate impact arm at the next level now and still has time on his side to reach his max potential.
Listed at 5-foot-11, 152 pounds, Gurr showcased a very repeatable delivery, where he featured a fastball that touched 75 mph. He has good body control and balance, which allows him to consistently be in the strike zone. Throws his offspeed pitches down in the zone, delivery stays the same as on the fastball. At the plate, Gurr has good rhythm, and his tall frame has room to add strength and power.
