Positional Profile: 1B/RHP
Body: 6-4, 215-pounds. Physical frame.
Hit: RHH. Wide base, stays in his lower half well. Compact through the zone with an uphill path, line-drive approach favoring his pull-side.
Power: 93.2 max exit velocity, averaged 80.1 mph. 339’ max distance. Showed juice to the pullside during BP.
Arm: RH. INF - 89 mph. Loose, athletic, short arm action, high 3/4 slot with life and carry.
Defense: Fluid, clean footwork and exchange, athletic fielding actions. Works through the ball well.
Run: 4.87 runner H-1B.
6-foot-4, 196-pound athletic frame. At the plate, Stringer showed his power ability with an exit velocity of 93 mph. Sets up in a crouched stance with a short stride. Bat speed was quick, and had uphill swing plane. He Barreled up some balls during his round. Gap to gap approach. In the infield, his position velocity was registered at 81 mph; had a clean exchange and developing footwork. Showed a high ¾ slot and consistent accuracy to the bag. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.83. On the mound, sat with his fastball at 82-83 mph; showed running action and occasional control. Shows late action and command around the zone on his curveball (66-67).
The young 2023 grad showed nice movements in the delivery and showed a fastball that was up to 80 mph with some late sink. The breaking ball was upper 60’s with tight spin and nice depth to the pitch while the change up was located well and showed as a very nice pitch. Has some nice potential and shows pitchability right now. Stringer was impressive as a player as well. Started with the feet even in the stance and a simple approach on the front side. The hands are set high in the stance and he shows a definite tilted swing path with some violence in the swing. The BP was loud with a heavy pull side approach. Tall, slender frame with plenty of room to grow. Athletic at 3B with nice arm strength (81 mph) and nice flexibility in the hips. Light on the feet. A good looking ‘23 prospect.
