6/23/21

6-foot-1, 185-pound. At the plate, Moss recorded an exit velocity of 85 mph. Sets up in a balanced stance with a quick load. Bat speed was above average, showed an upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. Gap to gap approach. Showed his live arm in the infield with position velocities up to 87 mph; shows consistent hands, and rhythmic feet. Had consistent accuracy. Clocked a time of 7.03 in the 60-yard dash. Really made an impression on the mound. The curveball (72-77 mph) took 11/5 shape with a bit of depth and decent sppin rates while the changeup (75-77 mph) showed late fade. The (87-88 mph) showed some arm side sink and exploded out of the hand with a ton of life. Very impressive from a mid 3/4 slot and simply pounded the zone.

11/10/19

We saw Moss exactly a year ago to the day and he has shown significant improvement across the board as all of his measurables improved. The SS moves very well on the dirt and showed plenty of plus actions with the glove and looked natural on the slow roller in front of him. The added strength has drastically improved the arm strength across the diamond (82 mph). At the plate, the left hand hitter showed a very mature approach as he was mostly middle of the field with his approach and did a nice job of handling pitches on the outer half and driving those to the backside gap. Really liked his approach showing a leg kick start to the swing.

Young player with solid action during IF drills. Showed nice athleticism with the feet and was able to let the glove work and showed a knack for being able to throw from different arm slots. Has some quick twitch actions that project well in the years to come. From the left side at the plate, he did a nice job of getting his weight back and showed some tilt in the swing path with avery rhythmic load of the hands. His approach was mainly oppo but he showed the ability to stay in the middle of the field as well. Will continue to get bigger and stronger.Nice fundamental approach to the game.
