5-foot-7, 170-pound. At the plate, Williams recorded an exit velocity of 80 mph. Sets up a balanced stance. Has some bat speed and level swing plane. He created some loud contact and found multiple barrels. Base hit approach. While in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 79 mph; had a clean exchange and consistent hands. Had decent accuracy to the base and a quick arm action. Clocked a time of 7.83 in the 60-yard dash. On the mound, has good arm speed and a high ¾ arm angle. Used some effort in his delivery. Slider (67-71 mph).Produced a fastball that came in at 81-83 mph and topped out at 84 mph; has sinking action and in the zone command. His sharp curveball has around the zone command. He shows fading action on his changeup (73-74).
5-foot-7, 170-pound two-way prospect, thick frame with room for muscular development. Offensively, open setup, long hang leg stride, hands load back and brings barrel vertical. Loose hands at the plate, takes a pull approach, looks to elevate the ball with an uphill barrel path, early timing, 79 exit velocity. Ran an 8.10 60. Defensively, long arm action, ¾ slot, 79 mph across the infield. Fields position with short steps, long on transfers. On the mound, long arm action, shows low on the back-side, ¾ slot. Tall and fall delivery, works on-line, lands toe-closed, finishes crossing over. Fastball sat 77-79. Curveball, 11/5 shape, some late action, 69-70.
Brandon Williams (2022, RHP/3B, Elberta) 5’7 170 lbs- 7.19.18- a young player with a lot of upside in years to come. A solid fundamental approach on the IF whose feet will continue to progress to go with the good feel with the glove. Showed a 75 mph IF velo to go with an 8.01 60 yard dash. Offensively, he showed some juice to the pull side and to the back side gap with a balanced, connected swing and approach and an 81 mph exit velo. On the mound he was up to 77 mph with slight ASR. His breaking ball was a slower, over the top breaking ball at 61-65 and he featured a changeup that faded away from RH hitters at 67-69 mph.
