Two catchers, C Beck Jones (Harrison, 2023; AR) and C Tank Sims (West Plains, 2024), are both physical backstops that popped at this event. Jones, who’s still uncommitted, stands at a sturdy 5-foot-11, 205-pounds and ran a 7.12 in the 60-yard dash. His hardest hit ball left his bat at 96 mph in BP and he peaked at 78 mph from the couch as well. The left-handed hitting Sims boasts a 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame and also recorded a 96 mph peak exit velocity in BP. He threw the day’s hardest bullet from the crouch at 80 mph and also the quickest throw at 1.97 seconds to the bag.

Lands square with a clean finish. Sat with his fastball at 74-77 mph; showed slight action and consistent command with straight movement. Has consistent command and swing and miss action on his 11/5 curveball (66-70).
