2023 SS Cam Grenert (Horizon)- 6-foot-1, 165-pounds, large balanced frame, wiry athletic, projectable strength. Listed as a switch hitter, only hit from the right-handed side on the day, quiet neutral base with feet shoulder width apart, athletic slightly closed stance, upright torso. Sways into back side before using leg lift trigger with some forward movement. Loads hands to back foot. Uphill swing with quick hands, can be pushy at times. Displayed good bat speed, pull-approach, getting out of the zone quickly with above average contact at 88.53mph exit velocity, looked to hit the ball in the air. Hit a hard LD to RF for a single in live gap action. Pre-pitch hop, solid timing. Fields the ball out infront with two-hands, sure glove, brought ball to belt buckle for transfer. Decent job of playing through the ball, let the ball get to him on occasion. Strong arm across the diamond at 86mph. Development should be followed.
