2022 SS Karsen Waslefsky (Casteel)- 6-foot, 160-pounds, large frame, long high-waisted, has added some strength in an ultra-projectable body with some present athleticism. Squared neutral stance, upright torso, knee to knee leg lift, present balance & rhythm. Loads to back foot. Short level swing, middle of the field approach, high upright finish. Above average feel for the barrel with improving bat speed with strength. Easy athletic footwork, keeps feet moving, playing through the ball. Ran a 7.30 60-yard dash on a slow track. Soft hands with fingertips down, brings ball to center. Short arm, comes out clean with accuracy to the bag, 84mph arm strength. Waslefsky’s projectability makes him a strong follow going into the spring.

5-foot-11, 150-pound frame, thin high waisted body with long arms, good projectability. Stood out at the event. Simple repeatable swing at the plate. Hits from an athletic squared base, sinking into back leg as he lifts front leg. Gets off the back leg early at times. Showed overall control and balance, using a comfortable middle approach. Hit two hard LD up the middle in our game. More pop than 80mph exit velocity showed, number should improve as he fills out. Confident actions in the infield with clean hands and footwork. Showed some range and quickness. Ran a 7.29 60-yard dash on a slow track. Short & quick arm action to the bag with 75mph arm strength. Should improve in all aspects as he gets stronger and his current tools show potential to stay at SS into the future. Should be followed into summer.
12/15/19
Medium 5’11” 145lbs build, good athleticism and projectability. Plays the game hard and with energy. Really stood out in the group of INF with advanced INF actions. Quick feet with good footwork & glove. Showed carry, rhythm and good direction to 1B on throws with 78mph velocity. Hits from a medium athletic base transferring weight to bag leg with small leg lift slightly above the ground. Simple repeatable swing with some intent to it. Finds the barrel with low effort, standing up in finish occasionally. Should be a strong player to follow especially with continued physical development.
5/15/19
5’9 135-pound frame. Hits from an athletic stance with his hands just above shoulder height. Good timing with barrel and stride working together to work into the zone early, giving himself a large margin for error with timing. Swings with intent with an exit velo of 82 MPH. In the field he showed solid actions and good lateral movement. As his body continues to develop, his numbers will jump quickly.
