The outfielder for the two-time state champion Casteel Colts is no stranger to Prep Baseball, having attended the 2024 Pro Case at Pepperdine University as an underclassman. Over the past few months, Harwood has made intriguing swing adjustments, and the results were on full display at the Preseason All-State event, where he launched balls with true backspin, posting an event-high 104.1 mph exit velocity and a max distance of 406 feet. Standing at a physically imposing frame, Harwood is a powerhouse at the plate and will be a force in the SEC at Texas A&M. On top of his offensive dominance, he also recorded the top outfield velocity of the event at 94 mph, further solidifying his status as one of the premier prospects in the 2026 class.

Harwood was one of the main attractions at the Underclass All-State and didn’t disappoint as he had his tools on full display. Catches your eye immediately with his sheer size and physicality at 6-foot-3, 215-pounds. The left-handed hitter posted one of the best rounds of BP, flashing his pullside power with the top distance at the event of 382 ft. It’s a wide setup from the left-side with a toe-tap load and balance throughout the swing, consistently looking to do damage as the ball jumps off his bat. Put up some quality at-bats during the scrimmage, as well. His arm strength also stood out, working up to 90mph from the outfield and 88mph on the infield. At the plate, he hit from a tall upright base with a slightly open stance. Loads his body with control, riding his leg with low effort into front foot strike. Looks to drive the ball in the air. 75mph exit velocity that will greatly improve in the future. Worked out at first base and showed athleticism around the bag with some good glove work. On the mound, showed a smooth low effort delivery. Worked his FB 74-78mph from H3/4 slot. Showed feel for his CH at 64-66mph. Harwood is going to be a name you hear a lot in the future.
