1/26/20

5-foot-7 150-pounds, medium frame, lean body, clean easy actions. Threw 2 innings on day, starting out nicely. Throws from a H¾ arm slot with short arm action. Trunk angles off towards 3B side through end of delivery. FB had late-life while coming in at 78-80 mph. Threw strikes early before missing up in zone. Threw a curveball with depth & downer break at 74-75 mph. Flashed an above-average change-up thrown with fastball arm speed as his best off-speed pitch with fading action at 74-75 mph. Overall clean actions should be followed with more physical development.

1/27/19 – 5’6 135-pound frame. High ¾ arm slot workout down in the zone. Fastball plays up at 76 MPH, due to his well above average feel for his breaking ball, with ability to throw it in any count. Fastball works primarily down in the zone sitting 74-76. Fastball has some angle to it with stride taking him slightly across his body. Curve ball was 64-68 with a big hard break to it. Change has hard arm side fade, with good arm speed at 70-71 MPH. Change will be good pitch against RHH to have something moving away.

10/14/18 - 5-foot-5, 135-pound frame. Appears to have grown and be taller/heavier than listed. Continues to workout as a 2-way prospect, but still profiles as a primary LHP. The delivery is quick and clean. The arm action can get long at times, but the straight over the top delivery allows him to still pound the strike zone with the FB at 75 mph. Straight change is the best secondary pitch we’ve seen out of Laudenschlager. Shows arm side fade and depth at 64-66 mph. Developing CB sits at 65-66 mph. As a position player the the right-handed hitter displays a compact swing. Does lean back at contact to try and create higher launch angle. 73MPH exit velocity. Ran 7.89 60-yard dash.

6/6/18 - 5-foot-4, 120-pound frame. Laudenschlager worked out as both an OF and a LHP, appearing as a more intriguing prospect on the mound in this look. Used an overhand delivery from the left side. Drives hard off rear leg. Could keep center of mass over his backside longer, up on toes at weight bearing foot plant. Fastball ranged from 72-74 mph topping out of 75. Breaking ball was thrown at 65-66 mph with fastball arm speed. Flashed solid depth when released out in front, sometimes backed up. At the plate Laudenschlager used a simple, compact stroke and registered a 73 mph exit velocity. At times posture started to lean back into contact and during high two handed follow through. Defensively profiles as a corner outfielder. Attacked balls very aggressively and posted a 75 mph outfield velocity Also ran a 7.59 60-yard dash.

12/10/17 - Similar numbers to a recent showing at the Fall Prospect Showcase, but chose to pitch at this event while also hitting left-handed. On the mound, sat 67-69 with his fastball from an overhand slot, working exclusively from the stretch. Arm action is long and the slot is so high that it makes it difficult to get much life on the FB. 55-56 mph slider showed more curveball shape on this day and tended to pop up some out of his hand. Threw 57-58 mph changeup with conviction and the pitch showed sinking action at times. LH swing is more crude than the right-handed version with almost no hand load and less rhythm. 8.13 60-yard dash.

10/29/17 – Very young 5-foot-4 120-pound frame. Solid outfield actions, charges ball aggressively with good footwork and long, clean arm action. 71 mph outfield velocity. Listed as switch hitter, only took BP from the right side where he shows a balanced setup and short smooth load. Posted 69 mph exit velocity, which will increase with increased physical strength and improved separation. 8.14 60-yard dash.
