The first Prep Baseball Report event in Arizona kicks off this coming Sunday, October 29 at the Kansas City Royals Complex in Surprise. Below are game reports on a few of the prospects that will be in attendance as well as the complete showcase roster. The event is open to players from the 2018-2021 classes and features a number of quality unsigned prospects. There is still time to REGISTER ONLINE and #BeSeen at our inaugural event that promises to be well attended by colleges, in addition to the over 800 schools that subscribe to PBR to view the videos, reports and verified testing data. Jack Silverman C / 1B / Desert Mountain, AZ / 2018 Silverman took the impressive BP we saw earlier in the fall and translated in to the game with multiple loud barrels. The thing that stands out most is the bat speed he produces from a big body. His defense is also improved behind the plate and it appears he may have a chance to be a contributor there as well as at 1B.

 

Cal Lambert LHP / Sandra Day O'Connor, AZ / 2019 Good pitcher’s frame with broad shoulders and a strong lower half. Lands slightly open which can cause him to be late at times. Clean arm action from ¾ slot. Pitched at 81-83 with his fastball with good riding life.  Has touched higher velocities in the past. Showed consistent rotation on 68 mph curveball with 1/7 shape. Strong 2019 follow on the mound.

 

Wes Kath SS / Desert Mountain, AZ / 2021 Showed off lots of fast twitch ability in the field, including multiple plays from SS on the run.  Quick arm with strong carry on throws. Interested to see the LHH more on offense.
