‘23 INF Angelo Franco (Mineral Area College) proved this week he has no issues finding the barrel against high-level arms. Franco looks the part in the right-side of the box at 6-foot-2, 195-pounds and provided plenty of offensive production for the Big League Experience team. Has the ability to find the gaps with relative ease and the bat-to-ball skills are there with minimal strikeouts and swing/misses. Seemed to have multiple hits each-time out and even the outs were loud ones. Intriguing 2023 who continues to look more and more comfortable competing against some of Canada’s top talent.
8/10/22
As a stand out at the Best of the West in BC, we were excited to see more of Franco. After a couple of barrels in game one, the young 3B/1B went deep off a tough-pitching Ontario team. Franco flashed juice from the right side with some feel for the barrel and quick hands through the zone. Balanced and controlled swing with a strong lower half. An athletic 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame that moves well around the diamond. Projectable body that is one to watch as he continues to develop.

Angelo Franco has shown well and quickly climbed the rankings as one of the top corner infielders in Canada. A strong athletic build of 6-2 185lb, Franco uses a simple approach with minimal foot-lift, utilizing a lateral rotational focus to create power. Handles the hot corner well and has the arm strength to play all positions on the infield. A must follow.
