Two-way player with actions all around. Stuff really plays in game off the mound, mid to upper 80's with command and feel and strikes for secondary, repeats well, command guy who attacks early and gets outs. Left-handed bat with extension and some present strength. Room for some power to come but also shows feel and can go other way and not sellout for power. Fundamentals behind the plate, will need to polish feet and glove, arm is there and will play well in-game.
Listed at 6-foot, 150 pounds, Poole showed improvements statistically from his previous event increasing both his exit velocity and his positional throwing velocity. At the plate he continued to show off his smooth swing hitting the ball hard when extended. Behind the plate he improved his POP time with a personal best of 2.01 while delivering solid throws to second. He also performed on the mound showcasing a fastball that topped out at 74 mph and featuring a solid breaking ball that has potential to improve in the near future.
10/29/17 - Listed at 6-foot, 150 pounds, Poole impressed behind the plate, showing good footwork and a short arm, allowing him to record a POP time of 2.15. At the plate, Poole has a smooth swing, and has a good approach while seeing the ball well. Recorded an exit velocity of 73 mph. He will develop into a good player at the next level.
