We got a good updated look at Juan, a 2026 right-hander out of the Coquitlam Reds program standing 6-foot-2, 180-pounds. Working exclusively out of the stretch, he had sporadic command on this day, but there's some feel for all his pitches. His fastball lived in the 81-83 range, topping at 83.5 mph, but we've seen him up to 85.2 mph. His curveball has some depth and shape to it at 64-68 mph, playing off a changeup that serves as his best off-speed pitch. He located it for strikes down in the zone at 72-74 mph. Still with another year of high school left, Juan will benefit from added size and strength, which will translate to his numbers ticking up.
