10/7/18 - Central Coast Open - 5-foot-11, 152-pounds, young athletic frame, lean body, well-proportioned. High-3/4 slot approaching overhand. Crouched over backside on the rubber and methodical delivery. Does have balance and good body control, good direction down slope though makes a negative move with body as he gets to deceleration, falling off and back. More front side glove stability and energy through the catcher would be an improvement. Fastball sailed (69-72 mph) and struggled a bit for feel. Delivery is of a slower tempo but he also did rush a bit between pitches. Curveball with slider spin (63-64 mph), tight grip on change-up (65-67 mph) that was often short. Overall needs more development time and a looser more athletic delivery let his stuff live better.
Position - Strong time for young age at 7.56 in 60 yd dash on less than fast surface. At the plate keeps even, high hands with the bat head facing the pitcher. Utilizes toe tap before turning bat through zone with quick hands. Bat path is quick into the zone with more strength needed as he matures. From the outfield utilizes a short arm with a high release; flashes of more from arm when utilizing legs and as he builds strength (68 MPH).
