Body: 6-3, 190-pounds. Large and athletic build that has added some physicality. Hit: RHH. Stands slightly open and evenly balanced with a turned in front foot. Starts slow and early as he uses a leg kick trigger as his barrel tips slightly towards the pitcher. Hands work back down at footstrike where his front foot opens up to clear hips. Hands provide most of the bat speed in his swing that is + (74mph average). Bat works up through the zone and the contact point was consistently out in front as all batted balls were up the middle to pullside. The front side at times turned over causing some rollovers but pull side power is there with 2 HRs during his hitting session. Power: 97.40 mph exit velocity Arm: RH. INF - 86.00 mph. Longer to release but with a shorter arm action. 3/5 throws were accurate. At times flashed decent life across the diamond. Defense: Fields out in front and centered. At times is flat footed which makes it longer to transition into throws. Decent coming in and to the backhand side. Projects better at a corner infield spot. Run: 7.25 runner in the 60.

Preseason All-State. This is our first look at Hill in this type of setting. Stands on a large, proportional, athletic frame, with room to add muscle. Started off the day with a good 60-yard dash. Hill’s BP round was loud and showed his ability to get the barrel through zone violently and drive the ball. Has excellent extension in the hitting zone, completing with a high finish. Hill has over the fence power potential. Feet and hands were working well together in his ground ball round demonstrating his ability to make the routine play with clean transfers. Throws to first base were accurate with carry across diamond. Good looking prospect.
