Positional Profile: RHP; Showcased as a top RHP in the 2024 class. Body: 6-1, 185-pounds. Strength throughout, stout athletic build, still room in upper body frame for strength gains. Delivery: All from stretch, calm medium high lift, slightly open at footstrike, stable base, repeats, uses lower body well, finishes with balance. Arm Action: RH. Clean circular and fairly compact on backside getting to high-3/4 slot, strong arm with, works in rhythm with lower body. FB: T83, 81-82 mph. Above average spin and horizontal movement, around the zone, present velocity and spin rates project the fastball to be a pitch he can lean on and continue to develop into an above average fastball. CB: 67-70 mph. Fair spin with feel for the zone, late break approaching the zone, wide slurve-type action, confident release, can definitely start bats and use off the FB. SL: 70-71 mph. Tighter than the CB with smaller movement pattern, similar enough to CB to suggest going with one over the other as he develops, minimal depth with this pitch. CH: 72-75 mph. Quality look off the FB release and action, big horizontal movement, gets to furthest release with this pitch, reduction of spin off the FB produces a CHG that can get swings and misses in bottom of the zone.
6/06/21
Bay Area World Series Underclass (6/4/21-6/6/21)
Pitching notes: Stretch Only. Lift, separate and drive delivery with good backside drive down the hill. Strong control of the frame down the hill with average front knee and athleticism present. Compact 3/4 release with arm quickness showing up out front; more consistent he was with frontside staying closed better arm worked. FB showed angle to the gloveside with ability to utilize a two-seam variant to both sides of the plate. SLD was short and tight with late lateral movement; best ones had ability to be more tilted than lateral. Projectable frame with some strength and arm action to continue making jumps. FB 78-84 / SL 70-72 / 60-yard - 7.81
