5-foot-11, 165-pound RHP/MIF. Stretch only pitcher, tall balance point, directionally in line to home, lands square, finishes athletically, occasionally falls to first base side. Long, loose arm action, high ¾ arm slot, regular effort throughout. Fastball showed some sink, sat 81-83 mph. Curveball had 12/6 shape, in the zone, sat 67-68 mph. Changeup sank, near fastball arm speed, ranged from 72-74 mph.
7-24-17
5-foot-11, 160 pounds. Bats and throws right. Tall, wider base in stance. Bat stays in hitting zone through contact. Bottom hand finish. Showed gap to gap power in live round. Line drive hitter. 85 mph exit velo off the tee. Has a strong arm for SS. Light on his feet, good range, and gains good ground throwing to 1B. Looks natural. Was 85 mph across diamond at this event but we have had as high as 87 mph. On the mound has moxy and composure. Arm slot is short on back side, then comes from high 3/4 arm slot. Pitches primarily from stretch. Fastball sat 82-83, have had at 85 spring games. Good down angle on ball. Curveball lived 67-69 mph with 11/5 shape. Ran a 7.5 60 time.
2-26-17
5-foot-11, 155 pounds. At the plate stands in a wide, slight crouch. Slight leg kick, minimal load that loads slightly down. Level swing through the zone. Line drive hitter that can get a little pull happy. Bottom hand finish. Has good actions at SS. Loose arm that was highest arm velocity at event at 87 mph. Does a good job gaining ground on throws to 1B. Ranges well to both sides. On the mound pitched entirely from stretch, arm is short on the back side, hides ball well, high 3/4 arm slot. Short stride to plate. Can keep coming for more extension. Fastball touched 85 mph sitting 83-84. Had a fast knuckle that was 69-70 mph. Slider was 75-76. Solid overall prospect.
8-6-16
5-foot-10, 145-pound right hand hitter who ran a 4.53 home to first. At the plate he hits from a balanced stance with a slight leg kick on the pitch. Hands and hips fire through the zone with good extension at contact. He had an 81 MPH exit velocity. In the field he stays square through the ball and gets rid of it quickly. He featured an 87 MPH arm. On the mound he stand tall with a high leg kick and then sink and drive actions to the plate. He lands in-line and delivers from a high ¾ arm slot. He showcased an 84 MPH fastball along with a 69 MPH curve with sharp 11/5 break and a 75 MPH change with good downward movement.
