King is currently uncommitted and is ranked No. 26 in the 2015 class. 6-foot, 175 pounds. On the mound King utilizes a short over over the top loose arm action producing fastballs from 84-86 mph. Lands in-line with the plate and sometimes falls off towards 3B. Throws a cutter at 81 mph that cuts into right hander. Curveball has tight spin coming in at 70-72 mph from 1/7 angle, and had a change that tails and dives away from righties at 74-75 mph. Will elevate fastball when needed. Pounds the zone with all three pitches keeping hitters off balanced at any time in the count, and does a good job changing speeds. Every pitch comes in at a different velocity. Was 1.07 to the plate on slide step with runner on. Does a good job holding runners giving baserunner a different look at first each time. One of the top lefties in the state.
