Heritage starter, 2021 right-hander James Morehouse (Rose-Hulman Institute of Tech) had a great performance. His fastball sat 81-83 and touched an 84. Morehouse moved the ball in and out and located his slider at 67-69. He had extremely effective changeup at 75. It's a repeatable delivery and Morehouse kept Creek off balance most of the time.
Positional Profile: OF/1B
Body: 6-foot-2, 180-pounds
Run: 7.01
Hit: Right-handed hitter with spread out, balanced stance. Minimal leg lift to stride. 50/50 weight distribution on launch. Hands have light load with front arm extension. Path has extension and length with strength. He has rear side acceleration with rotation and some linear movement. Barrel gets to the zone early with lift. High finish with hands and an exit velocity of 88 mph.
Power: Strength indicates potential, but he would benefit with quickness in swing.
Arm: 77 mph from the outfield with long arc to long finish...demonstrated accuracy from outfield.
Defense: Showed good movements in the outfield with good hand/eye coordination and catch/release. Can gain some velocity with use of lower half.
