Swing is fast through the zone producing uphill bat path spraying line drives from gap-to-gap producing 85 mph exit velocity off the tee. During batting practice hit two off the wall and was only player to hit home run on the big Cherry Creek field. When he learns to keep hands back on off-speed during game like he does during batting practice power numbers and batting average will jump. Defensively, has a plus frame for first base and shows soft hands with ability to pick balls out of dirt. Mallon threw 77 mph across the diamond from first to third. Ran a 7.41 60.

Against Diamond Club Mallon had a big 2 out 2 run double in the top of the third inning. In the field he is athletic on balls in the hole and shows soft hands and good feet around the bag.

Mallon had a fantastic weekend going 4-9 showing power with two doubles, one which almost went out at the big Adams State Field. On the last day one of his doubles was off the Adams State Varsity team. Defensively, has a plus frame for first base and shows soft hands with ability to pick balls out of dirt. We have had Mallon at 77 mph across the diamond from first to third. And we have seen him run a 7.41 60 and a 4.81 home to first.
