8-16-14
6-foot-2, 190-pound right-handed hitting first baseman has an strong athletic, projectable frame.  Hits from a tall, open setup, hands load back smoothly, utilizes a short stride that he closes down before ball enters hitting zone.  Swing is fast through the zone producing uphill bat path spraying line drives from gap-to-gap producing 85 mph exit velocity off the tee. During batting practice hit two off the wall and was only player to hit home run on the big Cherry Creek field. When he learns to keep hands back on off-speed during game like he does during batting practice power numbers and batting average will jump. Defensively, has a plus frame for first base and shows soft hands with ability to pick balls out of dirt. Mallon threw 77 mph across the diamond from first to third.  Ran a 7.41 60.

A 6-foot-2 190 pound right-handed hitting first baseman has an strong athletic, projectable frame.  Hits from a tall, open setup, hands load back smoothly, utilizes a short stride that he closes down before ball enters hitting zone.  Swing is fast through the zone producing uphill bat path with room to grow. Mallon anchors the line up in the 5 hole for the PBR Fall Team.  Against Diamond Club Mallon had a big 2 out 2 run double in the top of the third inning.  In the field he is athletic on balls in the hole and shows soft hands and good feet around the bag.
