5-foot-11, 205 pounds. Bats and throws right. At the plate has tall balanced stance. Swing has some uphill path. Gap to gap power. Has a tendency to dive out towards ball, but keeps hands back. Has good bat speed. Produced a 88 exit velo off the tee but we have had in 90's. Behind the plate was very impressive at the event. Has advanced skills. Beats the ball with soft hands receiving. Anticipates balls in the dirt well. Very strong arm down to 2B at 82 mph. Pop times off a coach were 1.75 to 1.80 which were best at event. Ran a 4.17 home to first.

10-1-16
5-foot-11, 202 pounds. Bats and throws right.  Currently one of the top uncommitted catchers in the state. Hands are loose in load and swing path is short to the ball with good bat speed. Goes gap to gap. Generated a 90 mph exit velo off a tee, and there is more room to improve if lower half gets a little more involved. Was the best defensive catcher at event. Made framing and blocking look easy, and was 1.83 off pitcher in between innings down to 2nd. 82 mph down to 2nd. Back picked a runner off 1st from knees during games. Solid catching prospect.  We saw Speirs at 3rd base during this event, he showed soft hands and quick feet.  He throws from a high ¾ arm slot with a quick release.  Arm velocity was 86 MPH across the diamond.

Was awarded most versatile 2017 player from event.
8-8-15
5-foot-11, 195 pounds. Speirs is strong player. Has a slight open stance and creates rhythm with a leg kick, and got rid of his toe-tap since last time we saw him. Has good extension through the ball with a slight uphill swing that generates some pull power. Behind the dish showcases soft hands while framing. Pop time off the pitcher was 2.06. Very vocal and shows leadership on the field.  Also pitches and threw well at the event. Primarily from the stretch, Speirs showcased a fastball that topped out at 84, but lived consistently at 82-83. Falls off to first, and sometimes is off balance after finish. Projects as an upper 80's kids by the time he's a senior. Has a long loose high 3/4 arm slot. A 67-68 mph curve and 68-70 mph change round out his pitches. Solid player on the mound and behind the plate.
6-23-15
Speirs was one of the top athletes at the event. He showcased himself at three positions and stood out both behind the plate and one the mound.  Speirs hits from a slightly open stance with a toe tap for timing, his bat stays in the zone for a long period of time and produces an exit velocity of 83 mph.  Behind the plate he shows soft hands that receives pitches well and a quick transfer that produced a 1.94 pop times with a 79 mph arm.  On the mound he has good drive to the plate and was 80-82 on his fastball.  A 67-68 mph curve and 68-70 mph change round out his pitches.

1-25-15
5-foot-11, 195-pound athletic RHP.  On the mound, fastball sat 78-80 mph from long, loose, high ¾ arm slot, hand pumping balance point with level leg kick out of the windup and strech, lands square in line with home plate, but at times falls off to first base side. Effortless fluid motion. Curveball sat 63-64 mph from windup and stretch for strikes, late gradual breaking, 10/4 shape. 68-69 mph changeup flashed cutting action. Pounds the zone and uses lower half as well throwing off two feet. Pounded the strike zone with all three pitches. Had good make up on mound. Shows an attitude of composure on the mound.
