A 6-foot-6, 180-pound right hand pitcher who stands tall on the mound and uses his height to get good extension to the plate. Motion lands in-line with the plate and arm delivers from an over the top slot. He shows good leg drive to the plate and stays square on his delivery. Fastball touches 87 MPH and has movement away from the right hand hitter. He also showcased a 73 MPH curve with 11/5 break and a 75 MPH change with downward movement and in to the right hand hitter.
8-15-15
6-foot-6, 180 pounds. Cannot ignore his size. Creates very good down-angle, with very good extension and is on top of you at plate. From a high 3/4 motion fastball was 86-87 mph, and could even get more with added weight. Fastball was increased from lower 80's in the spring and fall. Lands in-line and is smooth for big size. Mechanics take him to the strikezone. Throws a slit-finger with late sink at 73 mph. Curve ball is 12/6 with late break. Less raw from last time we saw him in the fall.
6-foot-6, 180-pound right-handed pitcher, with room to grow on his frame. A very projectable pitcher. The tall right hander had good command of all pitches and had command of both sides of the plate. Fastball today was consistent at 76-80 mph, curve ball was 64 mph curve with sharp 11-5 break and a 68 mph change with good downward movement. Does a great job with lower body for his size, stays in-line and on plane through the delivery.
10-19-14
6-foot-5, 180-pound right-handed pitcher, with room to grow on his frame. A very projectable pitcher who maxed out at 83 mph during the Fall Prospect Id. The tall right hander had good command of all four pitches and had command of both sides of the plate. Fastball was consistent at 81-83 mph, a 68-69 mph curve with sharp 11-5 break and a 71 mph change with good downward movement. The fourth pitch was a 69 mph slider with good late break. Morris delivers the ball from a high 3/4 arm slot with a short loose arm that creates good whip. Lower body stays in-line and on plane through the delivery.
