The Prep Baseball Report’s Junior Sunbelt Classic Tryout for 2016 prospects took place this past Sunday at ThunderRidge High School. 75 2016 prospects completed a pro-style workout for the PBR Colorado's Scouting Staff, several of whom are new to the staff.

Top Fastball Velocity
No 5 2016 Preston Snavley of Fort Collins, and newcomer to the PBR Colorado staff RHP/SS Jake Greenwalt out of Windsor touched 88 mph on the mound, sitting 89-90 mph pounding the the strike zone with three pitches which included a curveball that sat 68-72, and a change up that was 75-75
No 24 2016 Dalton Lind, RHP, out of Eaton H.S. was 87 and was very impressive. Arm was effortless and worked well with the rest of his body. That was up from 84 mph from the Preseason All-State Event on 3/1/15.
RHP/SS Aaron Hammann was a little faster then what we have seen him. At a game against Ponderosa in mid April he was consistently 84 mph, but flashed 86 mph at the tryout.

There was plenty of speed on display on Sunday. 10 players ran sub-seven 60's. Newcomer to the PBR Colorado staff Tanner Robinson paced the group with a 6.75 60. 60's were run on the turf football field at ThunderRidge High School.

There was a strong display of bat speed at the tryout. 3 players had 92 mph exit velos lead by 2016 1B/LHP Austin Alarid of Rocky Mountain, 2016 OF Bailey Hanson of Air Academy, and 2017 3B/SS John Sorenson of Rocky Mountain.
