8-13-16 A 6-foot-6, 170-pound projectable right hand pitcher. Each time we see Walsh, he improves with mechanics and velocity. He does a nice job of getting his 6-6 frame to balance and then closing the distance to home plate. He lands in-line with the plate and delivers from an over the top arm slot. He was effective in his three innings of work including one 8 pitch inning. Walsh showcased an 83 MPH fastball with good command in and out. He added a 66-68 MPH curve with 11/5 break and his out pitch was a 70-72 MPH change with late movement down in the zone.

A 6-foot-6, 170-pound right hand pitcher who has tremendous upside as he fills out. He uses his tall frame well and gets out front on his pitches. He delivers from a high ¾ arm slot and does a nice job of keeping his arm speed up on all three pitches. He showed good command of the zone with an 82 MPH fastball. He also worked in a 67 MPH curve with 11/5 break out of the zone to the right hand hitter and a 72 MPH change with good down movement late in the zone.

6-foot-5, 165 pounds. Bats and throws right. Walsh really impressed at the Top Prospect Games striking out 9 in 4 innings of work. Walsh was voted as the most 2017 projectable arm. Has a long, lean frame with a lot of room to add bulk. Delivery is simple and effortless, square to plate and a high 3/4 arm slot and is righ on top of you. Fastball was in the lower 80's consistently and touched 82. Curveball has tight 11/5 shape at 66-67 mph. Walsh also ran a 7.5 60. Walsh is a high prospect to follow in the 2017 class.
