Ali Hood: RHP/1B, (2024) Greens Farms Academy, CT. 6-foot-2, 175-pound long lengthy build. Above average at the plate, Hood's 89 mph exit velocity ranks him 3rd at the event. (70.4 mph bat speed average). (24.3 mph hand speed average). Started in a tall athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a short stride. Bat speed was electric, showed an upward swing plane and high finish. He found multiple barrels with tons of loud contact. Gap to gap aggressive approach. Above average while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 81 mph; showed twitchy hands, a clean exchange, and athletic quick feet. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a high ¾ slot and a short loose arm action. Recorded a time of 7.06 in the 60-yard dash.  (Max spin 2177; Avg 2059).

From the outfield, his best throws to the bases were registered at 77 mph. Above average on the mound, showed quick arm speed with a high ¾ arm angle and a long loose arm action. Up-tempo tall-and-fall type pitcher and uses some effort. Showed low balance point with in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Sat with his fastball at 80-83 mph; showed arm side command and sinking action with heavy movement. (Max spin 2264; Avg 2196). Shows fading action and arm side control on his changeup (74-77). Threw a 2/8 slider (70-72) that showed glove side command and late swing and miss action. (Max spin 1992; Avg 1927). Love the projection on the mound.
