3/30/22

5-foot-11, stronger, solid, thicker athletic frame. Showing plenty of strength throughout. A right-handed hitting corner infielder. At the plate starts in a balanced, wider stance, with hands at shoulder height, loose and relaxed. The swing is fluid and works with minimal effort, more of a flat path, with a higher finish. The approach is more middle to pull side, max exit velocity was 95 mph, shows strength to get the baseball to the gaps. The hand speed was calculated at 21 mph, with bat speed at 70 mph. Ran the sixty-yard dash in 7.66, looks to move quicker than times. Defensively, works from the ground up, with a soft consistent glove. The feet and hands work well together, showed a tick above average arm at 81 mph across the diamond from third. Should be able to bring more value with a move to first at the next level, solid corner player, with ability to swing the bat.

2/28/20

Stands 5-foot-10, 185-pounds with a thick lower half. At the plate he uses a slightly open stance, back to even on the pitch, battle waggle on the pre-pitch. Barrel path to the ball is tight to his body with some slight barrel lift through contact, full extension. Defensively, fields the ball at the corner position out in front, funnels back to his body while keeping active feet towards his target. Throws from a high 3/4 arm-slot with plenty of carry to the bag. Pitching, during his bullpen session he showed a well balanced three-pitch mix. The delivery is slow and deliberate at the start, high knee lift, speeds up as he accelerates toward the catcher, arm-swing has no restrictions, high 3/4 slot, FB has arm-side run and slight sink, CB at times showed tight spin, 11/5 shape, CH stayed to his arm-side with natural fade. He also mixed in a slider that worked on a more 10/4 shape. Overall, continued strength work will benefit the 2022 grad.
