A left-handed hitter, smaller, wiry strong athletic frame. The swing is short quick, gap to gap juice, uses the entire frame to hit. Defensively is very smooth, soft glove, good feet, with an above average arm. Can play multiple spots in infield, good go to outfield as well. An above average runner. Showed extremely well in game play. Game 1, 1-2 3B, 1 run, Game 2, 1-2, Game 3, 3-3, 3 1B, 1 run. 

5-foot-8, 155-pound, thin, wiry strong, athletic frame. A left-handed hitter, can really swing the bat, life and whip to his hands. The stance is balanced, starts in a wider, lower crouch position. The hands are relaxed and loose, the swing is level to up, staying in the middle of the field. Showed to have enough juice to be the outfielders, the exit velocity was clocked at 90 mph. A good runner, ran a 7.06 sixty-yard dash, with above average instincts on the bases. Defensively, can defend at a very high level, hands are soft on the catch and twitchy on the transfer. The arm action is short and quick, clocked at 84 mph across the diamond. During game play had hard, solid contact in his at bats. Worked off the mound, simple repeatable delivery from a high 3/4 slot. The fastball was up to 86 mph, and mixed in harder slurve at 71 mph. Dominated in his performance punching multiple hitters out. High follow for me.

Chase Mendela: SS/RHP, (2024) St. Paul Catholic, CT. 5-foot-7, 130-pound slim build. Projectable at the plate, Mendela recorded an exit velocity of 79 mph. Begins in a balanced stance with a controlled load, then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed was developing, had an uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. He barreled up multiple balls with loud contact. Line drive approach. Projectable while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 75 mph; has twitchy hands, a clean exchange, and consistent feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Used a loose arm action with a high ¾ slot while showing consistent accuracy to the base. Recorded a time of 7.7 in the 60-yard dash. Projectable on the mound, showed a high ¾ arm angle and a loose arm action with developing arm speed. Feel type pitcher who uses some effort. Showed consistent balance point and in line shoulders. Lands closed with recoil finish. Sat with his fastball at 76-79 mph; had command around the zone and running action with straight movement. (Max spin 2097; Avg 1905). His 10/4 curveball (63-64) has glove side command and sweeping action. (Max spin 2067; Avg 1969).

Power: 79 mph exit velocity, average 73.10 mph.

Defense:  (IF) Twitchy hands, consistent footwork, clean exchange. Projectable.  Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. 

Arm: 75 mph infield velocity. Loose arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy.

Pitching:  Projectable. feel delivery, some effort. high ¾ arm angle, developing arm speed, loose arm action. Consistent balance point, in line shoulders, lands closed, recoil finish.
