6-foot, 170-pound long and lean, explosive at times, an above average frame. Athletic in the box, Meier's best exit velocity was 92 mph. Begins in an open stance with a controlled load, then uses a toe tap. Bat speed is electric, displays a simple level swing plane and high finish. He found lots of barrels with tons of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. In the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 82 mph. Smooth in the infield, displayed a velocity of 81 mph; has a fluid exchange, twitchy hands, and athletic feet. Fields the ball out front,movements laterally were athletic. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a high ¾ slot with a short arm action. In the 60-yard dash,recorded a time of 7.06.

Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.06 


6-foot, 170-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder. He ran a 7.5 sixty at the event. The approach in the infield is athletic, the feet stay active and he shows soft hands. He threw  75 mph across the diamond at the workout. The bat has a exit velocity of 89 mph. The frame is thin and should fill out nicely. The setup at the plate is wide in base and the front foot steps into the pitch. The hands work freely, slightly uphill through contact with the baseball. The addition of strength and weight will be huge for him as the skill set is very good.

INF Velocity- 75 mph


6-foot, 170-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. . He ran a 7.0 sixty at the event as all the movements are athletic. He showed well in all facets at the event. The approach in the outfield is athletic and online. He can smooth out the prep steps so he delivers the ball from the outfield on time. He threw 76 mph during the outfield portion of the workout. The bat has an exit velocity of 91 mph as the hands work free and clean. The setup is wide in base and he has a small pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The path needs to flattened all the way through contact but the hands themselves work very well.

OF Velocity- 76 mph


5-foot-11, 164-pound, lean, wiry strong athletic frame. The shoulders are squared off, room for advancement. A right-handed hitter, can play all over the field. At the plate, feet start slightly wider than shoulder width, hands are loose and relaxed, set at shoulders, gets into rhythm and timing with his load. The lower half is under control, slight knee lift, soft stride. The swing is level through the zone, backside drive through the baseball and finishes the swing with two hands high above the shoulders. The baseball jumps off the bat, more of the middle of the field approach, had a tee exit velocity of 89 mph, and ran a quick 4.15 from home to 1st. One of the better offensive performances of the event. Defensively,  threw 79 mph from the outfield, attacks under control, clean feet into his transfer. The arm action is long and clean working from a higher slot. All throws were downhill with carry to them, more in the tank. In infield play,  proper prep-steps, fields out front, with flow through the baseball. The arm was clocked at 70 mph across the diamond. Look for him to hit at the next level, projects for me more as an outfielder, legs have a chance to change the game. Solid prospect.
