Began in an athletic quiet stance with a compact load, then used a small leg kick. Had a level swing plane, efficient bat speed and balanced finish. Solid in the infield, had a live arm with throws that topped out at 85 mph; has sure hands, consistent feet, and a natural exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Showed a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.15.

A 5-foot-9, 135-pound infield prospect. In the box, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 83 mph with a (62.7 mph bat speed average) and (20.1 mph hand speed average). He begins in a balanced, athletic stance with the hands set just off his back shoulder. A short stride initiates a simple flat swing with a clean finish. In the infield, Schopps was up to 77 mph on his throws across the diamond, while showing a clean exchange, sure hands, and consistent, smooth feet. Found some barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Advanced in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 73 mph; had smooth quick footwork, next level hands, and a twitchy exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Used a ¾ slot and a loose arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the base. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.45. Projectable on the mound, showed quick arm speed with a loose arm action and a ¾ arm angle. Tall-and-fall type pitcher and uses easy effort. Showed tall balance point with even shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 70-73 mph; had sinking action and command low in the zone. (Max spin 2063; Avg 1984).
