At the plate starts even, flat setup, loads hands, with a simple weight shift. A longer stride, gains ground, good backside drive, small collapse, could stay taller. The swing is level through the zone, hands are super smooth, barrel has life and whip out front on contact. The exit velocity was clocked at 76 mph, a ton more in there. Defensively, gets around the baseball, momentum moving towards target. The glove works out front, clean transfer to throwing arm. The arm works with minimal effort, whippy action to it, clocked at 64 mph. Worked behind the plate as well, pop time at 2.33-2.48, arm was clocked at 62 mph. Off the mound, easy lift, slight cross fire, working from a tougher slot, lower 3/4, slings it in there. The fastball was located down in the zone, sinking action, fastball was clocked at 65 mph. Rolled the breaking ball in at 58 mph, will need to add more fastball hand speed. Big frame will need to get in better shape. Time will tell which way he goes, he a has a chance to be ok.
